RUSH BALL 2018
"RUSH BALL" is an outdoor festival known as one of the summer festivals representing Kansai. This year which will mark the 20th anniversary of th event so the scale will be expanded and it will be held at Izumiotsu Phoenix for three days on August 25 (Sat), August 26 (Sun), September 1 (Sat)
The 4th appearance artists of this event were announced with appealing and high quality performances.
TENDOUJI is a Japanese quartet rock band formed in 2014 which is one of the most beloved bands of Tokyo indie rock world.
They produced 1st DEMO (3 songs) in one month and distributed it free at shops and live houses. Gradually gaining attention in Tokyo's underground scene / indie POP scene, they have steadily appeared at various events including "JUKEBOX" and "New Action!" In August 2017, the first nationwide circulation version 1st full album "MAD CITY" was released.
In January and April 2018, the band announced that a new EP would be produced. From now on, they will appear in March 's largest festival in the US "SXSW" and will also perform live abroad.
MONO NO AWARE is a 4-member band. They released the first album "Life, mountain valley". Their songs are influenced by garage rock and post punk , the fluctuation range is quite wide, and the tune changes boldly even in one song.
The vocal Tamaki ShuAkira and guitar Kato Narujun are in charge of the songwriting, two people were born in Hachijojima. They are looking for freedom together, complementing each other, and are focusing on somewhere that is not here.
Cider girl (CIDER GIRL) is a Japanese rock band. Formed in 2014, major debut in 2017. The label belonging to Universal J (Universal Music).
In May 2014, they performed the first live at Shimokitazawa Club 251.
In June 2015, the band released the 1st Mini Album "Cider Structure" from their independent label. In November of the same year, Torumoru of drummer paused activity and withdrew at the end of December.

Cinema Staff is a Japanese alternative rock band from Gifu Prefecture formed in 2003 under the name "Real" as all the members of the band went to the same high school. They made their major debut on the label Pony Canyon in June 2012 with the release of their EP Into the Green.Their single "Great Escape" was used as the second ending theme to the anime television series "Attack on Titan". Their newest single, "Kirifuda", was used as the fourth opening theme to the anime television series "Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V".
The band got their musical inspiration in the beginning when bassist Mishima joined a folk song society at Nanzan Daigaku and brought musical ideas to the band. Two years later, after releasing various demo CDs, Cinema Staff released their first official mini-album, entitled document.
Ego-Wrappin' (stylised as EGO-WRAPPIN') is a Japanese jazz and rock musical duo, composed of vocalist Yoshie Nakano and guitarist Masaki Mori. The group formed in Osaka in 1996, releasing their debut album Blue Speaker in 1998. The band gained national recognition with their cabaret and kayōkyoku inspired song "Midnight Dejavu (Shikisai no Blues)" (2000).
Ego-Wrappin' was formed in 1996 in Osaka. Originally the band focused their activities in the Kansai region,[1] performing at live houses alongside acts such as Mondo Grosso and Attica Blues. Initially, the group released music through the independent label Metro Crew Records, including their debut extended play Calling Me (1996).
In 1998, the band were featured in the soundtrack for the Eri Fukatsu-starring drama Kirakira Hikaru, covering The Beach Boys' "Disney Girls (1957)". In June of the same year, the band the band released their debut album, the English language Blue Speaker, through independent label RD Records, an Osaka-based subsidiary of Hip Land Music Corp. The album was successful on local Osaka area independent music charts, and was praised by musician Seiichi Yamamoto.
In 1999, the band released two extended plays: their first Japanese language extended play His Choice of Shoes Is Ill! in February, followed by Swing for Joy in November. A song from the extended play, "A Love Song", which featured Osaka ska band Determinations, received strong airplay on regional radio stations such as FM Ishikawa and FM North Wave (Hokkaido). From 2000, the band began performing concerts in Tokyo and other regions of Japan, outside of Kansai.
In 2000, the band came to national attention with their song "Shikisai no Blues", a cabaret and kayōkyoku song written in the style of 1960s jazz singer Mina Aoe. Originally the song was released as a part of the extended play Shikisai no Blues. When it was later released as a stand-alone single/extended play in 2001, it sold over 193,000 copies in Japan.
In May 2001, Ego-Wrappin' established their own sub-label of Toy's Factory called Minor Swing, and released their third album Michishio no Romance. This album, as well as Night Food (2002) and Merry Merry (2004) were commercially successful, all being certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Night Food featured the song "Kuchibashi ni Cherry" (2002), which was the theme song of the Nippon TV drama Shiritsu Tantei Hama Mike.
In 2006, Ego-Wrappin' released their fifth album On the Rocks!, and toured Europe for the first time, performing concerts in Denmark and Sweden as a part of the Tokyo Sound Revolution event. During the tour, Ego-Wrappin' formed a support band, The Gossip of Jaxx, who performed during the album's tour. In 2009, the band released Ego-Wrappin' and the Gossip of Jaxx: an album featuring music recorded with this support band. In 2010, the band released Sure Shot, a split single with rock band Brahman.
In 2014, Ego-Wrappin' performed the theme songs for the drama Reverse Edge: Ōkawabata Tanteisha.
FINLANDS is a female rock band from Kanagawa prefecture consisting of Shikoku and Koshimizukayo formed in 2012.
After the suspension of activity of THE VITRIOL of the former band, they have had live activity in various places. Album "RO69JACK" gets a lot of attention and won many prizes. After 2 mini albums, the band released the full album "PAPER" in 2016. Following the mini album "LOVE" in 2017, in May 2018, they released the split CD "NEW DUBBING" with BALLOND'OR.
Kyuso Nekokami is a Japanese punk rock band that formed in 2009. It was made up of students from Kwansei Gakuin University's music club in Nishinomiya. After finding it difficult to find full-time employment, the members decided to form the band.
In 2010, the band started performing at live houses across the Kansai area. In March 2012, they released their first album Jūdai de Dashitakatta, followed by Daiji na Oshirase in December. They entered the Rockin' On Japan web competition Ro69Jack 2011, and were one of 14 prize winning bands.
On April 1, 2014, it was announced that Kyuso Nekokami signed with major label Victor Entertainment, where they released Change the World in June.
The 3 minutes (Three Minutes) is a Japanese male five-member synth pop rock band from Furuya. Its members include boys which were born in 1995 and 1996.
After being formed in 2014, it operates as a current member band in which members are changed periodically.
In the spring of 2015, they were appointed to the tour of the major artists, appeared in the 3rd live audition at the unidentified festival (ex. Senko Riot) for teen artists only, then the first mini album release & tour in the summer, in the fall they performed the school festival tour and in the winter, won the "Newtube annual Grand Prix" at the NHK integrated music program "Uta-Tube", had the first TV appearance & studio live performance.
On July 19, 2017, they released the triple A plane 2nd single "Shiny Days / Delusion Yundellation / Harnota". In the final of their nationwide tour, a one-man live at HeartLand in local Aichi was held. The tickets are sold out and it ended well in a great success. In the summer, they appeared in the large outdoor festival "a-nation 2017". After that, they also appeared in many festivals held throughout the country.
Formed in 2012, DENIMS is a band from Osaka Sakai. In 2015, they released the 1st Mini Album "Daily use" which was the first national distribution from voluntary label "OSAMIstudio".
The 2nd Mini Album "iggy & pops" was released in 2016, and the first one man performed at the tour final, Toei Shinsaibashi CONPASS, was held. They also appeared in FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '16 the same year. In 2017 they appeared in VIVA LA ROCK. In the same year, they released his first full album "DENIMS".
A crowd of rebellion is a band formed by Niigata Prefecture Niigata City in spring 2007. They released debut song "Hydrangea" in 2012.
Their musicality is characterized Screamo style by twin vocals, and its own musicality is also referred to as " Koshihikari " from Koshihikari, which is a specialty in Scuremo and his hometown Niigata .
In March 2015, the band made a major debut at Warner Music Japan.
9mm Parabellum Bullet is a Japanese rock band, formed in March 2004 in Yokohama. It consists of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Takuro Sugawara, guitarist and backing vocalist Yoshimitsu Taki, bassist Kazuhiko Nakamura, and drummer Chihiro Kamijo, who came up with the band's name. Piano pieces included in some songs are performed by Taki, while the characteristic shouts are provided by Nakamura.
In the summer of 2008 the band released the double A-side single "Supernova/Wanderland", which also included piano instrumentals of both songs and a third song called "Wildpitch". 9mm Parabellum Bullet were invited to play at Asian Kung-Fu Generation's Nano-Mugen Festival that year at the Yokohama Arena, a festival notable for featuring up-and-coming acts alongside more well known and foreign acts. They covered "Motorbreath" for the October 2008 Metallica tribute album Metal-ikka.
In late spring of 2009, the band released the mini-album Black Market Blues e.p., which also included a recording of their free live performance at Yoyogi Park as a B-side. 2009 also saw 9mm Parabellum Bullet's first nomination at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan for "Best Rock Video", where they were nominated for the video of their song "Living Dying Message". They also performed this song live at the show.
Brahman is a punk band formed in 1995 in Ibaraki prefecture, Japan. Their name comes from the Sanskrit word Brahman meaning the Supreme Reality, and represents their ethos of bringing Asian influences to the Western punk genre, including Okinawan, folk and gypsy music.
They quickly established a following with their individual rock/punk style and in November 1996 released “Grope Our Way” a mini-album. Their popularity throughout Japan blossomed and enabled them to tour the nation extensively and follow up quickly with another high quality mini-album titled “Wait and Wait” in October 1997. In 1998, besides playing countless sell-out shows throughout Japan Brahman released their Chart topping first full-length album “A Man Of The World”.
In 2005, they performed 56 shows and made a record of sold out shows. Right after this nation wide tour, they also had an accomplishing tour in Italy, Austria and other European countries. In 2005, they finished up their 10th anniversary year with another successful tour.
In 2001 [Alexandros] (previously known as [Champagne]) was initially formed by vocalist Yoohei Kawakami and bassist Hiroyuki Isobe. Being brought up in Syria, Yoohei speaks fluent English with a unique Middle Eastern accent. He sings both in English and Japanese, not only aggressive rock numbers but sweet and mellow tunes he creates. Hiroyuki, spending most of his childhood in the US contributes to the band‘s sound that stands out from the other Japanese local bands. These two young talents got together to form what is to become one of the most original bands to emerge from the land of the rising sun. Guitarist Masaki Shirai joined the group in 2007.
In January of 2010, picked up by RX-RECORDS just a couple of years after, the band released their first-ever recording and a near-perfect debut album “Where's My Potato?". Regardless of the album coming from a yet-anonymous rookie band, this one gem of a record received great reviews and spread all over the country through word of mouth. The word was out. This is where it all began. In March that same year, the band contributed a Mary Poppins cover track for a Walt Disney compilation "DISNEY ROCKS!!" distributed exclusively via Village Vanguard, a subculture merchandise/book store chain. This helped the band gain great recognition. A month later, Satoyasu Shomura who had occasionally supported the band became the official drummer. This led to the now four band members to move to Tokyo, sharing one house together to focus on their musical career. The band released a couple of EP's during the rest of the year including "city" on July 7th, which was chosen as heavy rotation on a music channel Space Shower TV for July, and “You're So Sweet & I Love You" on Nov. 24th. The band concluded 2010 with their performance at famous Countdown Japan event.
The band released their sophomore album "I Wanna Go To Hawaii." on Feb. 9, 2011. Just like 1st album, new album got rave reviews from the press that triggered even more buzz to spread across the country and the album debuted at No. 14 on Oricon Weekly Album chart. Shortly after the release, the band went on tour in support of the release, out of which the last date was shot to make a very first live DVD released on Oct. 17th entitled "It's Me And Me Against The World". The band also released 2 singles in 2011, “Ie" on July 20th and “spy" on Dec. 14th.
On January 16, 2012, [Alexandros] supported the UK rock band KASABIAN for their Japan dates as an opening act, gaining recognition and acceptance from the international music. Soon after, on April 4th the band released their 3rd full-length album "Schwarzenegger", which debuted at No.10 on Oricon weekly album chart immediately after release. After another single release of "Kill Me If You Can" from the album in July, the band released a 2DVD entitled "I thought it was only one day" consisting of the live footage of their Schwarzenegger tour final show on June 30th at Shibuya and a collection of their music videos.
The year 2013 was a busy year for the band. They started off by being the supporting act for MUSE on their Japan show on Jan. 11th at the Saitama Super Arena. Soon after, their double A-side single “starrrrrrr / Namida ga Koboresou" was released, containing a natural mineral water GEROLSTEINER tie-in track. Reaching out to a wider range of audiences, the single marked No. 11 on the Oricon Weekly Single chart. On May 16th, the band performed on the UK‘s prestigious THE GREAT ESCAPE festival, receiving a positive reaction from the UK crowd. Following the festival, the band released brand new studio album “Me No Do Karate." on Jun. 26th which debuted at No.7 on Oricon Daily album chart. The band embarked on an extensive tour “We Don't Learn Anything Tour" visiting all over Japan soon after in support of the new release. This tour gathered 20,000 fans altogether, with ALL dates completely sold out immediately after tickets went on sale! One thing led to another, and the next step-up opportunity was a supporting act for PRIMAL SCREAM on their Japan show on Nov. 5th followed by a double A-Side, double tie-in EP “Run Away / Oblivion" on Dec. 25th. On the video of “Run Away“, the band collaborated with Nike + FuelBand, while the other track "Oblivion" was chosen for the theme song for fall/winter 2013 collection of an apparel brand LITHIUM HOMME. Appearances on music TV programs "Music Station" and "Countdown TV" also helped spread their name and keep the buzz going for 2013 and on to 2014.
In Jan. 2014, singer Yoohei participated on a song written for an annual campaign called ACCESS hosted by FM 802. He also went on to hook up with m-flo and collaborated on “m-flo + Yoohei Kawakami / FLY" which was released on Mar. 26th. The band decided to travel across the Pacific and performed at SXSW in Austin, TX on Mar. 12th and 13th. Soon after their return to Japan, they played a SOLD OUT show at prestigious Nippon Budokan gathering 11,000! And on this very day, the band announced their new band name as [Alexandros] (formerly known as [Champagne]). The band hosts a regular program “Welcome! [Alexandros]" on Space Shower TV. Collection of footages from this program was released on DVD titled “SPACE SHOWER TV presents Welcome! [Alexandros]" on Christmas Eve.
[Alexandros] signed and announced a partnership deal with Universal Music to kick off 2015 and released a double A-side single “Wataridori / Dracula La" on Mar. 18th including tie-in singles for a movie and a drama. The band plans to release a new studio album in June and another show at Nippon Budokan in July is confirmed followed by a nationwide album tour in fall. We are all to witness what the future holds for this promising band
Cocoroauction is a Japanese band formed by four classmates who met at the Kansai University in 2011. The band name was named with the feeling that "I want to increase the value of the heart who listened to their music."

Sambomaster is a Japanese rock band signed by Sony Music Japan. The band's name Sambomaster refers to the Russian martial art called Sambo. The band has 3 members: Takashi Yamaguchi: Vocal - Guitar , Yoichi Kondo: Base - Chorus,Yasushi Kiuchi: Drum - Chorus.
Lead vocalist and guitarist Takashi Yamaguchi first met drummer Yasufumi Kiuchi a few years back, at a university music club they were both members of. The duo ran into bassist Yoichi Kondo during February 2000, and the three went on to officially form the band now known as Sambomaster.
They made their debut at a live house in Tokyo's Kōenji district and soon followed this up with the self-production of their first single "Kick no Oni" (Kicking Demons), which they spent nearly a year working on. It was subsequently released in April 2001 as a limited edition of 300 copies.
For the first time, listeners outside of a live show were presented with vocalist and frontman Yamaguchi's vocals, which shift between a soft, sandpaper-like melodic voice to all-out screaming madness. Sambomaster's musical style is a blend of punk/classic rock, pop, jazz and rock ballads.
Polysics (ポリシックス Porishikkusu, typeset POLYSICS) is a Japanese new wave and rock band from Tokyo, who dubs its unique style as "technicolor pogo punk". The band started in 1997, but got their big break in 1998 at a concert in Tokyo. They create high energy music, fusing conventional guitar music with synthesized and computer generated sound to create a unique mixture of punk and synthpop heavily inspired by the American bands Devo and The Tubes, as well as Japanese bands such as P-Model and Yellow Magic Orchestra. Their song lyrics often consist of Japanese, English, or gibberish.
Polysics was formed in 1997 by Japanese high-school student Hiroyuki Hayashi. After watching some live footage of Devo and becoming inspired by new wave music of the West, Hayashi quit his soccer team and formed a band to expand on the cartoonish image and musical ideas of the zany art-punk icons he had seen on TV
In 1999, Polysics released their first albums 1st P and A.D.S.R.M! on the independent label DECKREC Records. In 2003, "Neu "was released in the United States on Asian Man Records to rave reviews and great sales. For the 2003 album "National P", Polysics went to the US to tour, which was then captured on the PippikkippippiP In USA DVD.
Dragon Ash (Doragon Asshu) is a Japanese rap rock group founded in 1996 by Kenji "KJ" Furuya and Sakurai Makoto. They were one of the first groups to popularize hip hop in Japan.
Dragon Ash started out as a punk rock group, they debuted in 1997 with two EPs at the beginning of the year. The group had progressed to a blend of various pop and rock influences. Their fourth single, "Let Yourself Go, Let Myself Go", reached number 7 on the Oricon Weekly Singles chart, and eventually climbed to number 4, selling a total of 640,000 copies.
The band finally reached the peak of their success when they released their third album, Viva la Revolution, in July 1999 and it hit number 1 on its debut week. The album has sold in excess of 2,000,000 copies.
In 2007 they celebrated their 10th anniversary by simultaneously releasing two best-of albums, The Best of Dragon Ash with Changes Vol. 1 and The Best of Dragon Ash with Changes Vol. 2. Both albums hit number 1 upon their debut.
Potshot is a music group from Japan formed in 1995. They released their records on their own label, TV Freak, in Japan. Their first five albums were also re-released by Asian Man Records, an American label well known for signing Asian punk-pop bands. Their final album, Potshot Beat Goes On, released in May 2005. They disbanded in 2005, playing a final show in Tokyo.
The debut album "POTS AND SHOTS" was released August 20, 1997. Tracklist includes "We Are Potshot", "Time", "Clear", "UNDER THE BLUE SKY", "MEXICO" and so on.
After the dissolution , we appeared as a secret band at KEMURI EXTRA SHOW which was held on 1st December 2007 .
The Back Horn (ザ・バックホーン, stylized as THE BACK HORN) is a Japanese rock band, formed in Tokyo in 1998. The band got started around April in 1998, when the original members all came to Tokyo from the countryside where they all lived, all for different reasons. They met, and decided to start a band.
Following their first notable performance at the Fuji Rock Festival in 1999, they released a mini-album Doko e Yuku on Kando Records. Seven months after that, they released their first full-length, Yomigaeru Hi. As the band was becoming increasingly popular, they were asked to provide music for 2 movies: Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Bright Future and Kazuaki Kiriya's Casshern, releasing the album Ikiru Sainou in between them.
Their tour was a huge success and the band decided to release a live album of it, entitled Ubugoe Chainsaw which contained the best performances of songs from the tour. 2 months later, Back Horn played their first show in Europe, at a festival in Barcelona, Spain. The band then released several singles and did some shows, including an acoustic street tour with only Yamada and Suganami, where they performed on the streets of Japan for free.
Acidman (often stylized as ACIDMAN) is a Japanese rock group. The band was formed in 1997 with four members, Shiibashi Takeshi, Urayama Ichigo, Satou Masatoshi, and Ohki Nobuo.
They created two demo tapes together in 1998, but former vocalist Shiibashi Takeshi left in 1999. Ohki took his place and became the leader of the group. They continued playing live concerts, and were eventually signed to Toshiba-EMI. The band is often categorized as punk music or alternative rock but their musical style is broader and is said to blend various kinds of individual peculiarities. The bassist, Satou Masatoshi is the main composer for the group, and is always experimenting with new types of music. It is noteworthy that the band's lead guitarist/singer (Ohki Nobuo) paints many of the band's album covers.
In 2000 ACIDMAN debuted with the single "Sekitou" under Nomadic Records. The single reached as high as number three on the indie charts. The group followed up with the mini-album Sankazora in 2002, debuting at #29 on Oricon indies charts. ACIDMAN toured with other popular indies bands such as Husking Bee and Bloodthirsty Butchers. The band was quickly signed to Toshiba-EMI.
After releasing a couple singles, the band released their first album, Sou. The album ranked at #9 on the Oricon charts. The band even won the Best Newcomers Award at The Japan Gold Disc Awards in 2003.
The Band Apart (ザ・バンド・アパート) is a Japanese rock band formed in Tokyo in 1998. Since their formation, they have released 7 albums, 11 EPs and 6 DVDs. Their album Adze of penguin (2008) reached number 9 on the Oricon Albums Chart.
The band name comes from Quentin Tarantino's movie production production "A Band Apart". There are 4 members, Takeaki Arai, Shoichi Kawasaki, Masakazu Hara and Eiichi Kogure. They debuted a single "FOOL PROOF" in 2001. Since then, they have released high-quality songs one after another and gained popularity at the top level in the Indie music scene. In 2016, an acoustic album "1" was produced. In the same name in 2017 "2" was released.
Straightener (ストレイテナー Sutoreitenā) is a Japanese alternative rock band. The band started out as a duo with Atsushi Horie (vocals/guitar) and Shinpei Nakayama (drums) in 1998. They established an independent label named Ghost Records in 2002. Hidekazu Hinata joined the band as bassist in 2003, giving the band a heavier sound. In October of the same year they released a single, "Traveling Gargoyle" from Toshiba EMI.
They are a critically acclaimed alternative/indie rock band in Japan. The group released their first mini-album, "Straighten It Up", to huge success. Straightener would go on to dominate the indies scene, and in 2003, they signed to EMI. Straightener exploded onto the mainstream scene, with their 2007 album "Linear" reaching number 7 on the Oricon charts. Straightener's 2009 album, "Nexus", became their biggest commercial hit to date, as it reached number 5 on the Oricon, and stayed in the charts for six weeks. To date, Straightener regularly break the Oricon top 20, and are widely regarded as indie rock legends in their home country.
Straightener have performed at numerous festivals and live tours. The band toured all over Japan during their Linear tour in 2007, as well as performing a joint tour in December 2013 with Asian Kung-Fu Generation to celebrate both bands' 10-year anniversaries. Both bands performed in Korea, Singapore, and Taiwan along with a local band from each country.
FRONTIER BACKYARD (Abbreviation is "FBY") is a Japanese rock band formed in 2001. The label is NIW! Records.
Two fomer members are TGMX and Fukuda "TDC" Chuoji. In 2004, they debuted "FRONTIER BACKYARD" album. After that, the band held events NEO CLASSICAL and one-man live. In 2014, they announced that the 10th anniversary "BEST SELECTIONS" would be held a nationwide one-man tour. Because member changes repeatedly, they released the first album "THE GARDEN" which will become the first Duo formation in 2017.
LITE (Light) is a foursome instrumental - rock band formed in 2003 that only performs instruments without vocals. They play many genres of music such as royal road rock system, piano rock, electro, jazz, ska and funk.
The albums "LITE" and "Filmlets", which were released in Japan in 2006 as well as in European countries including the UK. In the autumn, they held a UK Ireland tour. In 2007, the band appeared at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL. In the autumn of the same year, they conducted a second UK Ireland tour.
Performing the first US tour in 2009, they released music on iTunes Store and reached no.3.
BIGMAMA are a Japanese Alternative Rock band from Tokyo formed in the early 2000's, consisting of Masato Kanai (vocals, guitar), Hiroya Kakinuma (guitar, vocals), Mao Higashide (strings, keyboard), Hideto Yasui (bass), and Ib Riad (drums). Their defining characteristic is the inclusion of a violin and increasingly ambitious string/orchestral arrangements throughout their career.
Originally formed to play cover songs at school festivals, BIGMAMA signed to RX-Records (under the independent record company UK.Project) in 2006 and released their debut EP short films. After a quick lineup change in which Hideto Yasui and Mao Higashide joined the group, they released their first album Love and Leave, and steadily gained notoriety from then. By the release of (and with the help of) the "Secret to Lucy" single in 2011, they had become one of UK.Project's biggest artists.
They culminated their independent music career and marked their ten-year anniversary with a show at the Nippon Budokan, where they announced they would continue their career with Universal Music.

Sakanaction (サカナクション) is a Japanese rock band from Sapporo, Hokkaido. Their music is a fusion of alternative rock, electronic, pop, and new wave styles, and thus it is difficult to classify under one category. The band consists of five members: Ichiro Yamaguchi, Motoharu Iwadera, Ami Kusakari, Emi Okazaki, and Keiichi Ejima.
The discography of Japanese band Sakanaction includes six studio albums, eight singles, four video releases, and multiple digital downloads. Since their 2007 debut, all of Sakanaction's releases have been released under Victor Entertainment in Japan. Sakanaction currently have two albums certified gold by the RIAJ, Documentaly (2011) and Sakanaction (2013). Four songs by Sakanaction have been certified gold by the RIAJ for digital downloads, and their single "Good-Bye" / "Eureka" (2014) reached number two on Oricon's singles chart.
In the band's own words, their name reflects a wish to act quickly and lightly, like fish in the water, without fearing changes in the music scene. Super Beaver (stylized as SUPER BEAVER) is a Japanese rock band formed in 2005. They are most well known for their song Shinkokyū (深呼吸), which was used as an ending theme for the fifth season of Naruto Shippuden, and their song Rashisa (らしさ), which used as an opening theme for Barakamon in 2014.
In 2007, the band held their first one-man live at Shimokitazawa’s CLUB 251, which sold out. As the band grew in popularity, they soon expanded their activities to the whole of the Kantoregion, the eastern part of Japan. In 2008,
SUPER BEAVER released their first indie mini-album Shinkyou, that almost instantly made them popular. More lives, and radio and TVappearances followed.The release of Shinkyou was followed by a nationwide tour, and wherever the band went their lives were highly anticipated. Totalfat (stylized as TOTALFAT) is a Japanese melodic hardcore band formed in 1999. Totalfat consisted of vocalist/guitarist Jose (ホセ), vocalist/bassist Shun, guitarist Kuboty, and drummer Bunta.
TOTALFAT started out playing NOFX songs in 2000. Their shows were mainly songs of Ten Foot Pole, Millencolin and Slick Shoes. In 2003, they released their 1st album entitled "End of Introduction", from a Japanese independent label named Catch All Records.
They embarked on a CD release Japan tour which included 41 shows. The first album sold about 3,500 copies. In 2004, Totalfat released an EP "Get It Better" from Catch All Records. Then they had a CD release tour which included 48 shows around Japan. The EP "Get It Better" sold about 3,000 copies. They also supported bands touring Japan, and festivals such as Rock in Japan, Punk Spring, and always support Summer Sonic Festival from 2009 to present. Their debut in major label is Overdrive album.
Wienners is a Japanese quadruped rock band formed in early 2009 on Kichijoji Benten Street by Tamaya 2060% (Vo / Gt). MAX (Vo / Key / Sampler) and MANAB CITY (Dr) who are the original members finally withdrew from live on September 7, 2014. Wienners resumed in about nine months with Asamisae (Vo / Key / Sampler), KOZO (Dr).
Many artists can put messages in songs, but Wienners professes that music itself owns this purpose. They do not think about anything difficult, but they are crazy in music. Asamisae and KOZO joined in the band May 2015. Then, Wienners moved to No Big Deal Records .
Creep Hyp (Creep Hyp) is a successful indie rock band from Japan that formed in 2001. After five years of non- released material, the group finally debuted on the indie scene with the "Negairi" EP in 2006. The album was a moderate success in the Japanese underground, and the group went on a mysterious hiatus for three years.
In 2009, the group returned with two EP's "When I Was Younger, I'd Listen to the Radio" & "Mikita", both of which gave the band a pulse in the ever-growing Japanese indie scene. The group quickly garnered a respectable indie fan base, and managed to sign with a major label (VictorEntertainment) in 2012, over a decade after they formed as a band. Today, CreepHyp are looked upon as one of the most promising and unique bands to emerge from the Japanese underground scene in a while.
“Yu san san” released in 2013 was selected for SHISEIDO Anessa’s commercial song, drawing a lot of attention to the band. In April 2014, they had 2-day Nippon Budokan show, which was an instant sold out.
Shinsei Kamattechan (神聖かまってちゃん) is a Japanese rock band from Chiba, Japan, formed in 2007. The band consists of Noko (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Mono (leader, keyboard, guitar, tambourine), Misako (drums), and Chibagin (bass, chorus).
The band have grown an organic fanbase via online videos and so on, which is unusual in Japan. They released their debut studio album, Tomodachi wo Koroshite on the indie label Perfect Music. On July 7, 2010 they released their first single Yūgata no Piano. In 2011, the group performed the opening theme song for the Japanese anime series Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl, titled Os-Uchūjin (Os-宇宙人, Os-Alien).
Shinsei Kamattechan have received a lot of media attention in Japan. They have also attracted attention from English-language media. They were interviewed in a video on the website of British magazine NME at Summer Sonic 2010, and by The Japan Times newspaper. They have also been mentioned in various blogs.
Crossfaith is a Japanese heavy metal band from Osaka that was formed in 2006. The band released their first demo "Blueprint of Reconstruction" in 2008. They are characterized by a fusion of metal and hardcore with dubstep and others forms of electronic music, and for their intense live performances.
They released their first studio album "The Artificial Theory for the Dramatic Beauty", through Zestone Records in 2009, and their second studio album "The Dream, The Space" in 2011 through Tragic Hero Records. Crossfaith then released their second EP "Zion" in September 2012, this acted as a promotional release to countries outside Japan.
In an interview with DEAD PRESS! in April 2017, the band confirmed that they had two new singles ready for release for the summer, and that they planned to release a follow-up full-length to "Xeno" in 2018.
CIVILIAN (civilian) is a Japanese rock band composed of three people, a guitar vocal, a bass, and a dru. The band was renamed from "Lyu: Lyu" to "CIVILIAN" in 2016. After that, they appeared at ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2016. In November 23 of the same year, they debuted under Sony Music Records.
On June 19, 2011, the first voluntary project "Lyu: Lyu presents INCIDENT 619 vol. 1" was held. From November 18 to December 21, 2017, they planed to hold "CIVILIAN ONE MAN Tour". On November 22, 1st full album "eve" were released. It was about two and a half year from the mini album released in the Lyu: Lyu era before the rename.
SiM (Silence iz Mine) is a Japanese alternative metal band from the Kanagawa Prefecture formed in 2004. The band currently consists of MAH (vocals), SHOW-HATE (guitar), SIN (bass), and GODRi (drums). At the beginning of the formation, they called the three piece band as "Silence iz Mine" (the current band's name is an abbreviation for it). Their musical style mixes heavy metal, alternative, hip hop, ska, reggae, dub and punk with rebellious lyrics and songs with attitude.
In 2008, the band released their first full album entitled Silence iz Mine. In the same year, they performed for the first time in Kyoto. In 2013, they joined Monster Energy Outburn Tour 2013 with Coldrain. The band moved to Universal Music Japan and made a major debut with single "EViLS" on April 3, 2013. On October 23, they released the first album PANDORA since their major debut, and peaked at fifth in the Oricon weekly chart. On November 4, 2015, SiM performed at Nippon Budokan which was their THE TOUR 2015 FiNAL -ONE MAN SHOW at BUDOKAN. Tickets were sold out.
Kinoko Teikoku (きのこ帝国, literally "Mushroom Empire") is a Japanese shoegazing/dream pop band signed to the Universal Music sub-label EMI Records. Their first EP, Long Good Bye, peaked in the Oricon Albums Chart at #56 on the week of December 4, 2013. Their most current album “Ai no Yukue” peaked Oricon Album Chart #19 on December 14, 2016.

The Oral Cigarettes (ジ オーラル シガレッツ), stylized as THE ORAL CIGARETTES is a four member Japanese alternative rock band from Nara Prefecture formed in July, 2010. The band signed to A-Sketch in 2012 and have currently released two independent albums, three studio albums, one extended play, eight single albums and one demo album. They are best known for performing the opening theme song of the anime Noragami Aragoto, "Kyōran Hey Kids!!"
Since its formation, the band has been aggressive in local live performances spread throughout the Kansai region. In 2012, they won the Grand Prix at the MASH A&R audition of music. After the release of an indie demo, an indie single, and two indie albums, THE ORAL CIGARETTES made their major debut with the single "Kishikaisei STORY" in 2014.
Album “FIXION” was released in both a Limited and Regular edition consisting of 10 tracks in total, including the band’s previously released singles “Amy”, Kantan na Koto”, and “Kyouran Hey Kids!!”. go! go! vanillas is a 4-member Japanese rock band, abbreviation is "vanilla" by Maki. The band signed to Victor Entertainment. They made their debut in 2013 under SEEZ RECORDS and later made their major debut under Victor Entertainment in late 2014.
Maki thinks that there are many good bands in overseas bands starting with V, such as Vaselins, The Vines, Velvet, Underground, and while searching for words starting with V, the word "vanilla" stares in his eyes. Said himself, "the notation of "vanilla" is cool, but the meaning "vanilla" is cute and I like the gap".
In January 16, 2013, the 1st 7inch single "Human praises / Across the University" was released. From March 10th to May 5th, 2018, they held the nationwide tour "FOOLs Tour 2018 ~ Music Idiots and Spring Night Picnic ~".

Frederic (フレデリック) is a Japanese rock band from Kobe formed in 2009. The band is signed to A-Sketch Music Label and has released 4 EPs and multiple singles. In 2015, Frederic won the Kansai block local award at the 7th CD Shop Awards for their album "Oddloop". This album was released on September 24, 2014 and was also their debut at a major record label.
The rock band is composed of twin brothers of Kenji Mihara (Vo./Gt.), Koji Mihara (Ba.), Takashi Kashira (Gt.) and Takeshi Takahashi (Dr.). In 2016, major 1st full album "Frederism" was released gaining a lot of attention.
Dramatic Alaska (dramaticalaska) is a Japanese quartet rock band from Kobe. Their abbreviation is Doara and affiliation labels are LD & amp; K Records. All the members went to the same high school and formed a band in 2010, but they only released their first mini album in June 2013.

The band, consisting of Ayapetta (guitar/vocals), Iyama (bass/vocals), and Moai (drums), put their first demo together in 2009, their first mini-album in 2013, and their debut full album in March last year.
Japanese-pop punk trio Dizzy Sunfist released their first single and their second live DVD simultaneously on April 5th, 2017. The single, The Dream Is Not Dead, features four songs. The live DVD, Dizzy Beats DX, features footage from their Dizzy Beats Tour finale at Big Cat Osaka, as well as all of the music videos the band has released to date. Interestingly, the band members have penned some tunes in English.

Ivy is a quadruple rock band formed in Gunma Prefecture in October 2010. It consists of four people, Tenmyo Terasuke (Gt / Vo), Kawai Ryo Taro (Ba / Cho), Oshima Tomoko (Gt), Fukushima Yuya (Dr / Cho), Fukushima is in charge of composing all songs .

Lastly, live on September 23, 2016, Machida of the guitar withdrew. Thereafter, a new member Nichida Nishida joined.
The BONEZ are influenced by different types of music including hardcore, alternative, electro, folk and urban hip-hop. In September 2013, they changed their band name to “THE BONEZ”, moving from being JESSE’s solo project to more of an actual band.
ZUZU left the band after the second album was completed. Then NAKA (formerly of RIZE) joined the band at their October 14 concert. In November, JESSE, T$UYO$HI, ZAX, and NAKA announced the new logo for “The BONEZ”. It is an overlapping “N” design that symbolizes positions of the four band members.
The BONEZ released their second album, “Astronaut”, on January 22, 2014. A special limited edition containing fan-coveted material, a CD+DVD limited edition, and a regular edition CD version were made available. The band then went on an album release tour called “Astro Tour 2014” from February 18 to April 12.
The BONEZ hit 19 locations in Japan. The 20th location was a “one-man” concert called “The ONE”, which was released as a concert DVD. In July, they released “Place of Fire”, which was their first release since NAKA joined the band, and a concert DVD called “Astro Tour 2014 ‘The ONE’”. Mio Yamazaki is a Japanese foursome rock band formed in Tokyo. They were successful in 2014 with single "Minpo Dai Nanahyaku Kyu Jo".

Saucy Dog is a rock band formed in 2013 in Osaka consisting of three members, Shinya Ishihara (vo, g), Kazuki Akizawa (b), and Yuka Sato (ds, cho). After a process of withdrawal from members, the band gained huge popularity with songs "Someday" composed by the current members. Afterwards, they won a Grand Prix at the audition of 2016 MASH A&R.

MONOEYES made a name for themselves on the Japanese pop-punk scene with hugely talented members, including Takeshi HOSOMI, the inspirational singer of the band, the guitarist Masafumi TODAKA from ART-SCHOOL, the drummer Masakazu ICHISE from ASPARAGUS, and the bassist Scott MURPHY.
Humbreaders is a rock band from Osaka prefecture formed in October 2009 for the appearance of a cultural festival at high school. The members are Mutsuro Akira, Yoshino Explosion, Shigeru and Kijima. In April 2016, the predecessor bassist Makchan graduated, a successor replaced that position.

teto is a Japanese band. In January 2016, Sadatoshi Koike together with Kenichiro Sato formed teto in Saitama. In October, the band launched its own label and released 1st EP "Pain Pain Pain". They sold out the press for the first time in one month with only two stores online. In December of the same year, Yusuke Fukuda, a friend from Koike's student days officially joined as a drummer.
In June 2017, Helsinki Lambda Club released "Split" single with the band from the label Hamsterdam Records. At the end of 2017, they performed in "COUNTDOWN JAPAN 17/18".
