Masayoshi Yamazaki (born on December 23, 1971 in Kusatsu Shiga) is a Japanese singer-songwriter who plays guitar-driven blues, rock, and pop music, though he has also recorded piano ballads. Though he primarily plays the guitar, he has played the drums, piano, percussion, saxophone, and glockenspiel on some albums.
In addition to conducting energetic nationwide tours, he has appeared in festivals and events all over the country, participated in many sessions as musicians, etc., and has gained support from not only music fans but also from various fields.
He released his second album in 1997, which contained his breakout and most famous single "One More Time, One More Chance." This song was used in Makoto Shinkai's anime film 5 Centimeters Per Second. In recent years, Yamazaki has been releasing live albums and greatest hits compilations.
The tour "SEED FOLKS" which means "the person who sows seeds" started in December 2012. He celebrated the 20th anniversary of debut from September 25, 2014.
