HOTSQUALL is a melodic punk band from Nishifune , Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture . The word squall is popular, and it is named with the nuance of hot squall (hot toast, hot but heavy rain). Nickname is a fosco.
Received the baptism of The Beatles , also known as the Rock Music roots , Hi-STANDARD, etc., and formed in the local Chiba prefecture in 1998 .
Activities are developed with simple three-piece style, deeply pursued good melodies, impulsive beats, lyric and unique positive atmosphere that freely exchange English and Japanese lyrics.
There is a reputation for the composition of the music and the live performances that keep in touch with the audience's mind, and it is loved by many band men, and the breadth of the activity is unknown.
Not only indie scene, it is a rare band that attracts attention from a wide range of listeners.

In May 2015, the first outdoor event " ONION ROCK FESTIVAL -CHIBA DE CARNIVAL- " was held for two days at Inage Beach Park Inage Outdoor Music Hall .
