The Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra (Okinawa Prefecture) is an orchestra based in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture.
In the spring of 2000, the preparatory committee for establishing the Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra was established.
A music advisor was invited by Mr. Naoto Otomo, an international conductor, and "Ryukyu Symphonic Orchestra Foundation Concert" was held at the Okinawa Convention Center in March 2001.
Organizing members are composed of performers who are active in local Okinawa. In addition to regular concerts twice a year, music appreciation at elementary, junior high and senior high schools, the 3rd, the 4th Worldwide Uchinanchu Games, the 30th anniversary of the return of the mainland of Okinawa, the 40th anniversary, the 46th Americas Development We also perform a number of performances from the government and Okinawa Prefecture, such as the General Assembly of the Bank (IDB).
