Yuzuko Horie (born December 4, 1957) is a Japanese violinist. She is a visiting professor of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. The instruments used are "Joseph Guarneri del Jes" manufactured in Cremona in 1741.
She graduated from Toho Gakuen University in 1980. In the same year, she won the first Japanese victory at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition. Since then she has been performing with leading world orchestras and conductors such as Berlin Philharmonic, London Symphony, Chicago Symphony, Claudio Abbado, Ozawa Seiji, Simon Rattle.
She received many invitations to music festival all over the world including American Marlboro Music Festival, Lugano Argerich Music Festival (Switzerland), Flanders Music Festival (Belgium). From 2013 she holds a master class every year at Camerata Pituna in Italy and has been appointed as a professor at Cambridge International String Academy of Cambridge Trinity College in the UK since 2014.
