Kukatachii is a pop dance band formed in Tokyo, Japan.
The band consists of vocalist Yudai, keyboardist Yui, guitarist Prof.O, bassist KAJ, and drummer Takt.
The band name derives from “Kukatachi”, which was a spiritual trial for judging honesty in ancient Japan.
The lead vocalist Yudai is a true history enthusiast and this can be seen not only in the band name but also in some of their musical works.
In December 2012, the band was established by Vo.Yudai and Key.Yui. Origin of the band name is the Japanese ancient Shinmei trial "God of God search", because Vo.Yudai likes Japanese history. Kukatachii is set to release a long-waited new song titled “Passerby” on April 6, 2018.
