Akinori Nakagawa (November 5, 1982 -) is a Japanese male singer-songwriter and actor from Sendai city, Miyagi prefecture. He started composing music since elementary school days and continues music activities while attending local schools.
While studying at a high school, he appeared at a local television station and debuted with "I WILL GET YOUR KISS" which was wrote by himself on August 1, 2001. The song is used as a theme song of TBS drama "Maria" and it becomes a smash hit. In the same year, it won the 34th Japan freshman award.
The 2nd single "I say good-bye" released in the same year was also appointed as a theme song for TV Asahi drama "Last Family". In 2004, the first album "Akari Nakagawa" was released in Taiwan and debuted CD.
In 2007, he starred in the role of Ulysses on the stage "Yerendira" directed by Yukio Ninagawa and in the rock opera "Tommy" which was released as a Japanese version.
