Hiroshi Takano (高野 寛 , Takano Hiroshi) (born December 14, 1964) is a Japanese singer, composer, lyricist, music arranger, guitarist and producer. In the end of 1980s and early 1990s, he recorded some successful records which were produced by Todd Rundgren. He has contributed to the works of many musicians, such as Towa Tei and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
By 2018, his solo albums was announced (including the best board) with representative songs such as "To the City of Rainbow" "Bestendank" etc.
He co-authored with Tajima Takao (Original Love) and has many collaborations with artists beyond generations and genres are created as well as single "Winter's tale". As guitarist YMO, TEI TOWA, Hoshino Gen and many other artists live recording, he has experience in 20 countries as a tour member of Ryuichi Sakamoto and Kazufumi Miyazawa
As a sound producer, Koizumi Kyoko, THE BOOM, Naotaro Moriyama, GRAPEVINE, Nan etc. are handling works of numerous artists
From April 2013 he took office as Professor of Popular Culture Faculty and Music Course at Kyoto Seika University and became a visiting professor at the same department from April 2018.
