Michinori Toyota was born in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture and raised in Toyonaka, Osaka Prefecture. His father is Masanori Toyota of Kyoto University emeritus professor. Toyota was influenced by Chiharu Matsuyama heard at the age of 12, he started playing guitar.
Paradise Garage in 1993 was his first stage.
