Kumiko (September 26, 1954 ) is a Japanese singer. Old style name, Kumiko Takahashi (Takahashi Kumiko), Kumiko Takahashi. She was born in Mito city, Ibaraki prefecture. She studied at Kasukabe Girls High School, she graduated from Waseda University Faculty of Education.She works for Puerta del Sol, belonging label is Japan Columbia.
In 1978, she participated as one of the representatives of Japan at "World Kayo Festival". In 1982 she passed the audition of long-established store in Gansu, Ginza "silver paris", and started a professional activity. Her first album "Kumiko Best The Wonderful Love Story" released in 2006 (3/8).
As she celebrate the 25th anniversary of 2007 debut, she released the commemorative album "Ten to Sixties Songs" covering the masterpieces of the seventies, Nakajima Miyuki's new song "Ten Years" is also included.
