NARUYOSHI KIKUCHI was born in Chiba prefecture June 14th, 1963. He is a musical prodigy who's works range from avant garde jazz to club music. He is a saxophone and keyboard musician with many hats such as singer/rapper/songwriter/producer/composer, band leader of DCPRG, as well as being a university professor, writer and essayist.
After graduating from Keiko High School, he graduated from the music school Maser House Sachs. He was the first non-American artist to sign to Impulse! Records in 2011 and has released over 20 albums during his career. He has composed the soundtracks for the films “Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine” in 2012 and “Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt” in 2015. He has played the saxophone for various anime soundtracks including Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Ghost in the Shell, Brain Powerd, and Arjuna.
He also created his own media channel, Bureau Kikuchi, in 2013 and is a well-known radio and TV personality. NARUYOSHI KIKUCHI DUB SEXTET, formed in Dec 2007, has attracted huge attention for his unique and totally fresh take on the jazz genre; adding effects to acoustic jazz in his live shows.
