Enjo Mika begun to play the flute at the age of 8.
She took Prof Paul Meisen's open lesson at the age of 10 and grated beer in Germany in 1978 at the age of 15. At the same time into Nord-West Germany Music Academy as a youth special student under Prof. Meisen's supervision, she played in concerts in church and salons in the days in Academy.
Enjo entered into Munich Music Academy in 1981. She moved to Paris to study baroque music under Prof. Kurt Redel and French music of 18th and 19th century under Fernand Caratge in 1984. She came back to Japan in 1986 and started career as a solo flutist.
Enjo Mika released the first CD album "Kanon" from Sony Entertainment in 1987. Since then, she has done many recordings and often played on TV and Radio. She tried to bring out the greatest potentiality of flute and as well as in many events such as the Heian shrine concert , the Kinkakuji golden temple (broadcasted on MBS TV), the Nagoya Expo concerts, the Itsukusima shrine 1400th Anniversary concert. The Mika Enjo model flute was produced by Yamaha and sold out immediate.
