After graduating from Toho Girls High School, Toho Gakuen University School of Music, the piano department. Kumiko Ide studied piano with Kazuhiko Nakajima, Yoko Moriyasu, Yoshiko Tanaka, Chamber music with Akira Mikasa. After graduation, she studied at Budapest's list music school as a scholar of Japan-Hungarian Friendship Association. She studied under Mr. Cornell Zepleni and Mr. Imre Roman there. Kumiko also participated in Georges Chebeque master class, Bartok Festival, Banff music festival etc.
After returning to Japan, Kumiko held her recital at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, etc. and got favorable reviews. In particular, the recital of the Bartok work was selected as one of the best 10 concerts of the year and gained high evaluation. She also appeared on broadcasting such as NHK "FM Recital". In addition, there are many overseas performances in Finland, Belgium, Spain, Austria, Taiwan and others.
Kumiko Ide also works as an ensemble pianist and also performs CD recording. Currently, she is the lecturer at Faculty of Music, Shotoku University. She continues performing in various places such as recital at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, etc., solo and chamber music, piano · duo, etc.
