Masahiko Sakamoto was born in Ome City, Tokyo.
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1987. Horns with Norio Uda, Kozo Moriyama, Kaoru Chiba, Chamber Music, Yuko Murai, Masaki Haiko, conductor Yuji Yuasa, Masamitsu Takashina, Toshihiko Matsunuma, Tatsuya Shimono. After attending a seminar by Mr. Yuasa Yuasa (Associate Professor, Vienna State College of Music), I started taking class from the autumn of 2008, passed through the registered audition of the Tokyo International Arts Association in June 2011 and became the registration conductor of the association. He participated in Jolma / Panura Conduct Master Class held at Naantali in Finland, and appeared in the celebration concert on the final day, commanding Schubert. In the summer of 2013 participate in the Florentine International Conduct Masterclass, receive the tutelage of Mr. Giuseppe Lanzetta, music director of Florence Chamber Orchestra. In 2015 he attended the Budapest International Conduct Master Class, and shared the pleasure of the performance with the orchestra, he continued to study as a conductor.
Held the earthquake reconstruction assistance support "ninth mid-ninth charity concert" in 2013, and at the end of the same year served as the ninth concert commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Amami archipelago Japan. In 2019 he plans to play with Higashimurayama Symphony Orchestra for the first time.
