Masahiko Sakamoto (Conductor)

Masahiko Sakamoto was born in Ome City, Tokyo.

Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 1987. Horns with Norio Uda, Kozo Moriyama, Kaoru Chiba, Chamber Music, Yuko Murai, Masaki Haiko, conductor Yuji Yuasa, Masamitsu Takashina, Toshihiko Matsunuma, Tatsuya Shimono. Appeared in the Kanagawa prefectural music festival recommended music concert in 1985. 1986 Tokyo Symphony Orchestra joined. It has a reputation not only for orchestral activities but also for precise instruction to amateur orchestras, brass bands and the like.

 After attending a seminar by Mr. Yuasa Yuasa (Associate Professor, Vienna State College of Music), I started taking class from the autumn of 2008, passed through the registered audition of the Tokyo International Arts Association in June 2011 and became the registration conductor of the association. He participated in Jolma / Panura Conduct Master Class held at Naantali in Finland, and appeared in the celebration concert on the final day, commanding Schubert. In the summer of 2013 participate in the Florentine International Conduct Masterclass, receive the tutelage of Mr. Giuseppe Lanzetta, music director of Florence Chamber Orchestra. In 2015 he attended the Budapest International Conduct Master Class, and shared the pleasure of the performance with the orchestra, he continued to study as a conductor.

 Held the earthquake reconstruction assistance support "ninth mid-ninth charity concert" in 2013, and at the end of the same year served as the ninth concert commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Amami archipelago Japan. In 2014 he directed Mahler Symphony No. 5, opera "Tsubaki Hime", Sagamihara Phil's 31st Regular Concert, Ahn Puro Koganei Concert, and at the end of the same year Amami FM Presents Citizen's Ninth Festival (Amami Ninth Performance The meeting was invited to the following year, received favorable reviews.

 February 2015 Mitsubishi Tokyo UFJ Orchestra The 13 th regular regular concert received "I drew a wonderful sounding and lively music". From the spring of 2016, as an advisor to the Yokosuka Symphony Orchestra, he is also devoted to the development of citizen orchestras.

 Major activities in 2018 include the 5th concert of the Glanz string orchestra mixed with pro-am in May, Ensemble à la carte 1st concert which gathered young professional players, the KTS room which is the 4th year in the summer Orchestra's 34th Regular Concert, 6th Earthquake Disaster Reconstruction Assistance "The Midsummer Ninth Concert", October the Yokosuka Symphony Orchestra's 124th Regular Concert, Ensemble à la carte 2nd Performance in November Meeting, Amami No. 9 etc at the end of the year. In 2019 he plans to play with Higashimurayama Symphony Orchestra for the first time.
