When Marnie Was There is a 2014 Japanese anime drama film written and directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, produced by Studio Ghibli. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 88th Academy Awards. It was also the final film that Yonebayashi directed for Ghibli before he decided to quit the studio.
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind is a 1984 Japanese animated epic science fantasy adventure film adapted and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, based on his 1982 manga of the same name. It is frequently ranked as one of the greatest animated films ever made. Though it was made before Studio Ghibli was founded, it is often considered a Ghibli work, and was released as part of the Studio Ghibli Collection DVD and Blu-ray range.
