MAKE THEM SUFFER / Aviana

Aviana is a new, ambitious metal band that has its core in Gothenburg, Sweden. The band began writing their debut album in 2015 and the result was 'Polarize' - an album that mixes heavy, aggressive pieces with melodic sing a longs and lyrics with a clear, strong message. The album was released via Rambo Music (Sony Music) on the 20th of January this year.

With a strong will to be the best possible live band, unforgettable live performances on the stage is always the main idea in the process of writing new music. Aviana are now working hard to leave a mark on the metal scene with their debut album and touring as much as possible. The band has their influences from a wide range of artists, where bands like Northlane and Fit for a King contribute to the darker parts and bands like Bring Me The Horizon represents the melodic influence.

The band's debut album “Polarize” has been met by critical acclaim from around the world and has been featured in multiple magazines such as “Close-up magazine” and “Sweden Rock Magazine”, both of which gave the album 8/10 in their reviews.

After doing a release show for Polarize in their hometown of Gothenburg on 3rd of March, the band have been touring extensively in both United Kingdom, Europe and in Sweden.
As of their latest successful run in Europe the band came out as main support for Japanese Metalcore giants CRYSTAL LAKE including playing the Main Stage on a sold out Morecore Festival in Cologne, Germany along with shows in London, Manchester, Zürich, Paris, Vienna and more.

On 9 June 2017, it was announced that Chris Arias-Real, Lachlan Monty, and Louisa Burton were no longer in the band. Jaya Jeffery was announced as the new bassist and Booka Nile was announced as keyboardist/clean vocals.

On 24 July 2018, a new single "27" was released.

They have toured with many notable bands, including Architects, Thy Art Is Murder, The Amity Affliction, Pvris, Bleeding Through, Stick To Your Guns, Northlane, August Burns Red, Oceano, Job for a Cowboy, Whitechapel, and War from a Harlots Mouth. The band completed a headlining world tour in 2017 in support of the Worlds Apart album through Canada, USA, Europe, UK and Australia with support acts Wage War, Enterprise Earth, Novelists, Spite and Alpha Wolf.

PRETTY MAIDS

Pretty Maids is a Danish hard rock/heavy metal band from Horsens, Denmark. Formed in 1981 by Ronnie Atkins and Ken Hammer, their sound and music can be described as classic guitar-laden heavy rock with a strong emphasis on melodic elements like vocals and keyboards.

Over the years, Pretty Maids have sold hundreds of thousands of records, but have never broken through in a major way, except in Japan during the 1990s. They have supported well known bands as Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, and Saxon, and were also featured at the 1987 German version of Monsters of Rock, where Metallica headlined along with Deep Purple.

After a prolonged international touring hiatus before the release of the 2006 Wake Up to the Real World album, the band have every year since been touring their primary markets of Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and Spain.

In March 2014, Pretty Maids released their 13th studio album Louder Than Ever.Pretty Maids have on various occasions mentioned Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Kiss, Icon, Slade, and Queen as some of their influences. Over the years, they have recorded cover songs from many of these influences, including their most famous hit to date: A 1992 cover of John Sykes' ballad Please Don't Leave Me. Pretty Maids' song "Back to Back" from their debut album Red, Hot and Heavy was covered by two Swedish metal bands; HammerFall on their Legacy of Kings album in 1998, and Arch Enemy on their Will to Power album in 2017.

Inevitably the band outgrew their label, and in 1984 signed to CBS Records, who remixed and re-released their self-titled EP with a different cover.

In 1984, the band released their debut studio album, Red, Hot and Heavy, which was a success. More acclaim was followed with their second studio album, Future World, released in 1987. It was recorded in New York City with renowned producer Eddie Kramer. The album is considered to define the band's definite sound, with typically aggressive rockers alongside more commercial, melodic moments.

The 1990 Follow up Jump the Gun, was produced by Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover, offered more of the same catchy riffs. The record label had put in all efforts to break the charts worldwide with this record, but it never took off, except in Japan. Whether it was lack of hits, marketing or they were simply another victim of grunge music is unknown, but the record didn't live up to expectations. The band more or less broke up after the lack of success with this record, leaving only founding members Ron Atkins and Ken Hammer.

HARDCORE SUPERSTAR

Hardcore Superstar are a hard rock band from Gothenburg, Sweden with heavy sleaze influences. The band was formed in 1997 and have released seven albums to date. Besides a short break, Hardcore Superstar have continuously toured and recorded since their formation.

Hardcore Superstar formed in autumn 1997 in Gothenburg and signed to Gain soon afterwards. Their debut album was recorded and released in Sweden. The album attracted the attention of English label Music for Nations and a new worldwide contract was drawn up. The new album, which became the band's "official debut album" contains a few new songs, a new cover and has a new name, "Bad Sneakers and a Pina Colada".

In autumn 2003 and winter 2004 the band toured in Sweden, Europe and the USA. A fight broke out at the Swedish Consulate in New York between Thomas Silver and Aftonbladet journalist Fredrik Virtanen. This is a major news story back in Sweden.
Now back on Gain, the band has regained its unique energy which resulted in the new self titled album "Hardcore Superstar".
The album has been given top reviews all over the world. Hardcore Superstar has been Grammy nominated and number one on the Swedish hard rock charts.

Hardcore Superstar is a hard rock band from Gothenburg, Sweden. The band was formed in 1997 and continue on today. Hardcore Superstar have had several hit singles, and Grammy wins in Sweden.They released their first album, It's Only Rock 'n' Roll, on Gain Records in October 1998. Out of the 11 tracks on the album,7 songs were re-recorded for their first worldwide releas Bad Sneakers and a Piña Colada.In August, 2003, the band released their final album with Music For Nations, entitled "No Regrets". In 2005, Hardcore Superstar re-signed with Gain Records, the label with whom they released their debut with in 1998. The band returned rejuvenated, with a hard rock sound more comparable to their earlier works. They released a self-titled album Hardcore Superstar in 2005, which featured the Swedish hit singles; "We Don't Celebrate Sundays", "Wild Boys", "My Good Reputation" and "Bag On Your Head".

MEW

Mew are a Danish alternative rock band, consisting of Jonas Bjerre (lead vocals), Johan Wohlert (bass) and Silas Utke Graae Jørgensen (drums). Johan Wohlert left the band in 2006 before the birth of his first child, but made a return in 2013 while the band were in the studio, before making his first live appearances since his departure in 2014. Guitarist Bo Madsen left the band in June 2015. This was confirmed in a statement on the band's official website on 1 July of the same year.

Whilst their music may be classified as indie and on occasion progressive rock, Bo Madsen said "I usually say we are 'indie stadium.' A mix between 'feelings' and 'thinking' is usually good." Formed in 1995 in Hellerup, an upper-class suburb of Copenhagen, they had a profound impact on the Danish indie scene, emerging alongside the likes of Carpark North, Swan Lee and Saybia, amongst others, in 2003. They released their debut album A Triumph for Man in April 1997 and its follow-up Half the World is Watching Me in 2000. At the 2003 Danish Music Critics Award Show, Mew won the awards for "Album of the Year" and "Band of the Year".

Their first commercial success came with Frengers, released in 2003, described as "a work of quiet brilliance, aiming for the epic without straying into the bombastic, offering cerebral arrangements while keeping things accessible." The album was well received. After a European tour supporting R.E.M. they began to attract wider attention.

POLYPHIA

Polyphia is an American instrumental progressive metal band based in Dallas, Texas, formed in 2010.
Polyphia first achieved mainstream success when the guitar play-through of "Impassion", from the EP, Inspire, went viral on YouTube. The band continues to grow in popularity and have gone on several national tours sharing the stage with the likes of other progressive metal giants such as Periphery, Between the Buried and Me, and August Burns Red.

Polyphia has featured guitarists such as Jason Richardson (Chelsea Grin, Born of Osiris, and All Shall Perish), Aaron Marshall (Intervals), Mario Camarena (Chon), Erick Hansel (Chon), Rick Graham, Nick Johnston, and Jakub Żytecki.

The band states that their influences come from artists of all genres. The group started out with a heavier shred-oriented sound but has since matured into a more melodic-focused band. When describing the album, Muse, Timothy Henson says that the primary inspiration comes from pop and rap music as to not draw influence from other artists of their genre.

Judas Priest are an English heavy metal band formed in West Bromwich in 1969. The band have sold over 50 million copies of their albums to date. They are frequently ranked as one of the greatest metal bands of all time. Despite an innovative and pioneering body of work in the latter half of the 1970s, the band struggled with indifferent record production, repeated changes of drummer, and lack of major commercial success or attention until 1980, when they adopted a more simplified sound on the album British Steel, which helped shoot them to rock superstar status.

The band's membership has seen much turnover, including a revolving cast of drummers in the 1970s, and the temporary departure of singer Rob Halford in the early 1990s. The current line-up consists of Halford, guitarists Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer Scott Travis. The band's best-selling album is 1982's Screaming for Vengeance with their most commercially successful line-up, featuring Halford, Tipton, Hill, guitarist K. K. Downing, and drummer Dave Holland. Tipton and Hill are the only two members of the band to appear on every album.

Judas Priest formed in 1969 in industrial West Bromwich, in the Black Country, by vocalist Al Atkins and bassist Brian "Bruno" Stapenhill, with John Perry on guitar and John "Fezza" Partridge on drums. Perry soon died in a road accident, and amongst the replacements the band auditioned were future Judas Priest guitarist Kenny "K. K." Downing; at the time, they turned him down in favour of 17-year-old multi-instrumentalist Ernest Chataway, who had played with Birmingham band Black Sabbath when they were still called Earth. Stapenhill came up with the name Judas Priest from Bob Dylan's song "The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest" on the album John Wesley Harding. Sekihan is a Japanese rock band, including four members: Suke (guitar),Three generations (guitar), Mao (bass), Mito (drum). They started live activities and posted videos on their website. A rock vocalist who makes full use of a delicate voice like a woman from a big shout like a beast.

"Live kids aru aru naka no hito (DJ typical story of live kids)" is Japanese DJ. His twitter account that he tweets typical story of "live kids" (people who often go to Japanese rock live events) is followed by 60,000 followers. He is popular not only on social media but also in real life event. He plays more than 100 times a year at huge big rock festivals and live events all over Japan. He is young and energetic DJ of these days.

Tsurumi-ku is located in eastern Kanagawa Prefecture, in the northeast corner of the city of Yokohama.

Chelmico (Carmico) is a Japanese female rap duo formed in 2014. It consists of MC RACHEL and MC MAMIKO. Their songs are used in commercials such as Japan Post, Mitsukoshi Isetan, Leopalace 21, AOKI, Biore.

Not to mention the interestingness of life-size lyrics, as well as rap skills that are unimaginable from their pretty appearance and smooth flows on catchy melodies are highly appreciated from all directions of the music industry. Their music style is POP music, HIP HOP, and various type. The Go Team (English: The Go! Team) is a British hip hop / rock band. The Go! Team are a six-piece band from Brighton, England. They combine indie rock and garage rock with a mixture of blaxploitation and Bollywood soundtracks, double Dutch chants, old school hip hop and distorted guitars. Their songs are a mix of live instrumentation and samples from various sources. The band's vocals vary between performances: while live vocals are handled mostly by Ninja (with Angela Won-Yin Mak also singing some solos), vocals on record also feature sampled and guest voices.

The Go! Team's first full-length album, Thunder, Lightning, Strike, was released in the UK and Europe on the Memphis Industries label in September 2004, to widespread critical acclaim. The album was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2005

On 18 December 2014, The Go! Team officially announced their return by uploading a "trailer" for their new album. The trailer features the songs from the short promos that were uploaded earlier in 2014, as well as other new material. On 6 January 2015, the title and track list were announced. The Scene Between was released on March 25, 2015.
On 11 October 2017, The Go! team announced the release of Semicircle, their fifth full length LP. The release date for Semicircle is 19 January 2018. Exclaim! scored the album a 7 out of 10, stating that the album "is a team effort, and all the better for it."

20th anniversary of metronome formation

Metronome (METRONOME) is a visual band of Japan. They was formed in 1998. On May 31, 2009 their indefinite activity ceased. The resumption of activities was announced on May 31, 2016.

It was formed in 1998 and started mainly in Tokyo. Everyone is a visual band that mainly makes black make-up, but all members are wearing a joint of the same design, and musicality is under the influence of techno pop such as Devo , P-MODEL , Ecstasy etc. . The colors such as New Wave and Punk rock are also strong.

Lyrics are introvert, dependent and masochistic. In the early days, there were many SF -like expressions from the setting "I came from 2005", but it is lost along with the catchphrase "21st century religious music".

After the arrival of GFR, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin in 1971, Western-style rock swept Japan and planted a dream to form a band in a rocking boy (a young man). HEAVY METAL ARENA 2018

RagDöllz is a fresh take on the metal genre with an all-female trio putting out tracks that are heavier than some of their male counterparts. Women are definitely not strangers to the metal genre. However, it is always nice to see something outside of the norm of the testosterone fest that metal and all of its numerous sub-genres seem to create. RagDöllz has just recently released their first album Ten Red Roses on October 22. Even so, the band has releases dating back to 2015.

While it is true that there are definitely female fronted metal groups out there many of them play to the same tune. We have some killer guitar work with a drummer that’s about to pound their way through the third drum head of the day. It sounds great. Unfortunately, what we tend to get from the vocal department isn’t usually as heavy. Although clean vocals make for a pleasing contrast and overall more approachable sound, there could always be more. RagDöllz fills in this gap and sets themselves apart in this respect. Vocalist Rumi does both harsh and clean vocals. Her transitions are effortless and add in a nice mix up in their songs.

Although they have been around for a while, RagDöllz is definitely worth giving a quick listen to. The band also seems to have their stage presence together with excellent command over the crowd and great ability in generating some energy.

GALAMUTA is a Osakan heavy metal unit with mixed clean vocals & death voice. Their first album Warrior Rises was released in June 2018.

ANIMA TEMPO is a progressive metal band based out of Mexico City. Founded in 2009 by three former members of a progressive metal cover band called CAUSTICA X, they began writing original material and additional members joined to complete the lineup. After demo releases in 2010 and 2011, the band began working on their first professional full-length while also touring across the ocean in Europe. In January 2016, the album Caged in Memories was released. The style of music combines familiar templates found in progressive metal, except their are also forays into melodic death metal at times, combining clean and harsh vocals alongside some sudden tempo surges and djent-influenced time signatures.

The band roster currently consists of Gian GRANADOS on vocals and guitar, Dante GRANADOS on lead guitar and synthesizers, Pedro VERA on bass, and Antonio GUERRERO on drums.

Renaissance

Renaissance are an English progressive rock band, best known for their 1978 UK top 10 hit "Northern Lights" and progressive rock classics like "Carpet of the Sun", "Mother Russia", and "Ashes Are Burning". Renaissance has had a long history spanning close to 50 years since it’s formation in 1969.

They developed a unique sound, combining a female lead vocal with a fusion of classical, folk, rock, and jazz influences. Characteristic elements of the Renaissance sound are Annie Haslam's wide vocal range, prominent piano accompaniment, orchestral arrangements, vocal harmonies, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, synthesiser, and versatile drum work. The band created a significant following in the northeast United States in the 1970s, and that region remains their strongest fan base.

Currently smorgas has moved the place of activity to indies and is still active.

Ba, U: ZO (ex RIZE)
He joined RIZE in 2001 and withdrew from November 2005.
After leaving YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz led by GACKT, He becomes a currently support members of INORAN (LUNA SEA).
He is also working as a studio musician.

US LAZYgunsBRISKY round 2018

LAZYgunsBRISKY (レイジーガンズブリスキー) is an all-female Japanese rock band originally active from 2006 to 2012, before reuniting in 2015. The group was influenced by western 1960s and 1970s rock acts such as The Beatles and Led Zeppelin.

LAZYgunsBRISKY was founded in 2006 by high school classmates, lead singer Lucy, guitarist izumi, bassist azu and drummer Moe, after they graduated high school. Their first album was released in April 2008 by July Records. It was entitled Quixotic and produced by Motoaki Fukanuma. That same year they released another album entitled Catching! on Babestar, produced by Kenichi Asai of Blankey Jet City

In 2009, they took part in the Arabiki Rock Festival 2009 and released mini-album 26 times on FlyingStar. They also have been performing a surprise concert at the Fuji Rock Festival 2009 which made the news. In 2010, the band played a European tour and have always aimed to rock the world. Along with this tour their 1st mini album "Catching!" was released in Europe on German label, "Spark &Shine Records". Their 2nd mini album "26 times" was released in North America on Good Charamel Records, an indie label of Robby Takac from The Goo Goo Dolls, and also featured on the "I LOVE J-ROCK compilation CD in 2010.

In 2011, they went to EUROPE a second time to play at JAPAN EXPO 2011. In 2012, the band went on hiatus but in 2015 restarted and released mini album ”NO BUTS”

Horna /Fatal Desolation /他

Horna (formerly known as Shadowed) is a Finnish black metal band that formed in 1993. The band has appeared on over thirty releases including splits, demos, EPs and albums since 1995, which have been released through numerous record labels.

Horna formed in late 1993 under the name Shadowed, formed by vocalist and guitarist Shatraug and guitarist Moredhel. The name was changed to Horna when drummer Gorthaur joined the band in 1994. Horna did not start recording until early 1995. The first demo, Varjoissa, was released in September that year and sold out. Since 2002 Horna also became a dominant force with live desecrations all over the world, having raided the continents with European and North-American tours. Despite many line-up changes Horna has always remained strong under the guidance of the only remaining original member Shatraug. Through-out the years the lyrics of Horna ventured from harsh anti-christian hatred and paganism to devoted exaltations of the occult, the mysteries of the dark side of mankind and Satanism  from youthful outbursts of anger to ever more maturing inneren lightenment.

Horna cited the loss of "dedication" as the reason behind his departure, and revealed that Horna's performance at 2003's Tuska Open Air Metal Festival would be their last with Otava handling guitar duties. In 2008 Horna embarked on an American tour. They played their first American show on Halloween 2008 at "The Black Castle" courtesy of underground promoter Chris "Hate War" Wood.
The name "Horna" is Finnish for "abyss" or "hell". It was chosen because, to Shatraug, it sounded harsh and powerful.

Ungodly is regarded as "High Speed ​​Blackend Deathrash" in Japan. It composed of Gt & Vo - Kirino, Ba - Gai, and Dr - Shimaoka.

Mr. TSUKASA who creates the foundation which becomes the basis of music called DOLCE feels like living with complaints: "If we do not have complaints or dissatisfaction with the current situation, does not the necessity of new music come out?"
Recent young listeners see things in popularity, even though there are more people who can not live their life without music. The obsession of trying to manage such people with their own hands created TSUKASA genius. DOLCE's music will have someone to listen to even 100 years from now.

DOLCE releases "GOD BLESS YOU". This spirit was created by the brains that only these geniuses have. DOLCE signed with TIGHT RECORDS in December 2006 and immediately release tour. They were expected to be well-known internationally some day.

Goodbye Fujiyama is a rock band from Japan including 4 members Kojima "lue" Hidekazu (Gt) Nakayama Takuya (Vo, Gt) Takahara Hoshi (Dr) Nakazawa Kensuke (Ba).
"I WANNA KILL YOUR BOREDOM MUSIC !!! " is their slogan.

In summer 2012, they started activities as Goodbye Fujiyama in Tokyo. It became the current 4-person formation in 2014. They expand activities to the national ward while appearing at live circuit and festival nationwide.

In 2014,they received "RO69 JACK 2014" prize, in the audition of Samasoni, they won the Teraoka Coleman Prize and appeared in "Summer Sonic 2014". In the circuit event that appeared during that period, admission control also continued, and one-man live was also sold out.
In 2015, they were elected to "RISING ★ STAR" of RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL and appeared. In September they released 2nd Mini Album "Suite Seventeen" from Ladder Records.

In February 2016, the venue limited single "BOYS IN THE BAND" June released "Summer of Lovers" "Aratakusho!" One after another. In November, they released the first full album "This chest full of love".

Puppland are a band from Kobe that was formed in 2012. The beginning was a collection of university 's light clubs. It is a band that is said to be an alternative folk rock.

Something that contains character-like members as if they came from exactly" different worlds ". Their lyrics is drawn from a unique point of view, world view, and fork elements somewhere. Their sound is nostalgic, sometimes violent and silly, but it reaches the sympathy of many people regardless of age and sex.

With the live "Pupu Pu In In The Wonderland FINAL" which will be held at Osaka FANDANGO on August 2018, Pupu Pland will be dissolved, but after that Tatsuya Nishimura (G, Vo), Ryunosuke Tanaka (B), Valley Tomohiko (Dr) will go on music activities together.
