BLOODAXE FESTIVAL
BLOODAXE FESTIVAL is a large-scale live event held in Kanagawa to make the distance between the bands and the audiences closer. The event can convey fun and create unity throughout the whole venue.
SAND was formed in 1999, originally without any specific goals, just for hanging out with friends and jamming songs. In 2003, the band released their 1st album “24-7″. Since then the band has passed through a couple of member changes and solidified its lineup.
In June 2004, with Tokyo’s Numb and Nagoya’s Calusari, they released a split cd titled “quoutlaw”, and then embarked on nationwide touring.
In March 10th 2007, their 2nd album titled “Nuthin’ But A Bitter Mouth” was released. After the release they played 32 record release shows all over the nation. They got a lot of positive feedback on the tour, which caused them to get offered to play more shows than they did in 2007. The album caught the attention of the overseas hardcore community as it reached top sales for German label/record shop Filled With Hate Records for 3 weeks.In December 2007, the band went to play a fest in Korea for the 3rd time.
In June 2008, they embarked on Canada & Brooklyn NY tour with Edge Of Spirit. In August 2008, they invited Merauder from U.S. to Japan and embarked on Japan tour together. They presented a fest in Osaka titled “Freestyle Outro’5” .
In August 2009, they invited Madball and did a Japan tour. As the last date on the tour, they presented “Freestyle Outro’6” with over 3,100 attendees.
In May 2010, they were offered to play New York’s hardcore festival Black N Blue Bowl (formerly known as Superbowl Of Hardcore), went on a US mini-tour including dates in PA and MD, that resulted in selling out all the merchandise they brought. In August 2010, they organized the Skarhead Japan Tour as well as the tour’s last show “Freestyle Outro’7” .
In 2012, organized worldwide hardcore benefit compilation “Unite For Relief” with Next Step Up’s JR,SAND provided a new song for it. In the summer, the band went back to the States again with Numb including a date at Summer Of Hate Festival 2012. Right after that, they and Numb organized a Nasty/Warhound Japan Tour including their own show “P.D.F. Summer Bash” (SOLD OUT).
SAND is participated 2015’s THIS IS HARDCORE music festival held on America’s East Coast in July. Together with that, they toured the East Coast. SAND then invited UK hardcore band DESOLATED to Japan for a tour in September 2015. The last show of the tour will took place in Osaka at P.D.F SUMMER BASH, which SAND organized and played at.
Edge of Spirit was a Japanese hardcore band formed in Kobe, Hyogo and based in Tokyo. They has released four studio albums and four split albums. The band is widely known for pioneering its musical style called metalcore / metallic hardcore. The band toured as an opening act for Arch Enemy Japan tour in 2002 and 2004.
After their 3rd album Rebirth, they toured as an opening act for Extreme The Dojo tour featuring The Haunted, Nile, and Exodus in 2006. The band toured Australia with The Rivalry and Palm in 2007, Canada and United States with Sand in 2008, and Europe with Rise Of The Northstar in 2011. In April 2016, the band announced they are going on hiatus.
Turnstile is an American hardcore punk band from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 2010. They have released 3 EPs and two studio albums.
They released their debut EP, titled Pressure to Succeed, in 2011, and their second EP, titled Step 2 Rhythm, in 2013, both via Reaper Records. On January 13, 2015, Turnstile released their debut full-length album Nonstop Feeling, also via Reaper Records. The album was recorded at Salad Days Studios with producer Brian McTernan. Supporting the release of the album, Turnstile went on both an East Coast and a West Coast tour with Superheaven, titled the Nonstop Feeling Tour. They also supported New Found Glory on their spring 2015 tour.
On 16 September 2016 Turnstile released their third EP titled Move Thru Me. The record charted at number 14 on the Billboard Heatseekers Album Chart and number 19 on the Hard Rock Albums chart. The band began recording for their second album under Roadrunner Records in the fall of 2017, completing recording in early 2018. The record was produced by Will Yip at his Studio 4 recording studio. On 23 February 2018, the band released the album, titled Time & Space; it is their first release under a major label.
Trail Of Lies Trail is a HARDCORE music band . They have five members in this band include VOCALS: TOM DOM ,GUITAR: JD ,GUITAR: TOM CORE ,BASS: TOM HARRIS ,DRUMS: CHRIS SMITH. They come from Syracuse and work for SYRACUSE STRAIGHT EDGE company.
Through sonic output and location, Trail Of Lies is a product of influence from Earth Crisis and company in upstate New York's metal and hardcore fury of the '90s, now welcoming past Malfunction and Warhound members to the team.
Their EP W.A.R. delivers straight ahead heavy hardcore with some groovy rhythms and punishing breakdowns. This EP created a great hit and spread their name all over the world.
The BLOODAXE is a hardcore band that has built a global network based in Tokyo. XIBALBA was formed in 2005 by Southern California USA. Based on BRUTAL HARDCORE, which had already been established since the beginning of the activity, they draw a line with METAL taste such as DEATH / DOOM / SLUDGE. Their sound that has been put on everything and their Mexican Latin taste scattered throughout anywhere they been that makes them different.
XIBALBA raised remarkable recognition by the release work from the proper label in their country and became to be able to appear in tours and festivals in the United States and Europe. In the middle of the local show in California since the formation, the member also penetrates widely throughout the California scene due to member sharing with other bands, a booker of the local show and tattoo artists as well .
California, Pomona 's hardcore / death metal band Xibalba , who also played at Bloodaxe Festival 2016 last year , released a new song "Diablo" at CLRVYNT . This song will be included in the New EP " Diablo, Con Amor ... Adios " with 3 songs released on 2/14.
All Out War is an American metalcore band from Newburgh, New York, formed in 1991. They have released six full-length albums starting in 1997 to the present.
The band played their first show together in Newburgh, New York at the Hudson Valley skate park in 1991. The band's lineup shifted frequently in its early years before their first full-length release Truth in the Age of Lies on the German record label Gain Ground in 1997. Later in 1997 the band signed with the Chicago based record label Victory Records, where they released their second album For Those Who Were Crucified in 1998.
Turmoil within the band continued in the years following the release of For Those Who Were Crucified with multiple band members entering and leaving the band. The band returned to the studio in 2003 to record their third full length, Condemned to Suffer, which was also released on Victory Records. In 2004 the band announced that they had officially broken up due to the inability of vocalist Mike Score to continue with the band.
All Out War reunited in 2006, and released their fourth album Assassins in the House of God (2007). By early 2008 the band had left Victory Records. However, by early 2010, All Out War had returned to the record label and recorded Into the Killing Fields, which was released in August 2010.
In recent years, Japan's hardcore scene shows excitement. Among them, there are bands that definitely exist and make the scene hot. SECONDLOW who works based in Tokyo is a band that looks exactly like that.
In 2017, they played in the domestic biggest hardcore festival "BLOODAXE FESTIVAL 2017". They said that " It is a "not good" band if you keep an eye out for the future success."
NUMB is a Japanese hardcore punk - band formed in 1995. In early 1990's, they are known as a band representing hardcore punk in Tokyo
In June 1996, they released an independent demonstration tape "to maintain the method" and on December 25 the same year, they released the first mini-album "ROAR 365".
In 1995, SENTA and NATSUO take the lead and will form NUMB.
The present members of NUMB are SENTA (Vo), NATSUO (Gu), KENJIROU (Gu), YURI (Ba), and SEKI (Dr).
Their 1st mini-album "ROAR 365" was announced in December, 1996 and it took the 5th place of the topmost peg recorded on the Oricon indie chart.
Their 2nd album "PLUTINUMB" was released in April, 2000. It took the 1st place with an indies chart.
They also costarred with 2002, DABO, S-WORD and others.
In 2003, NUMB constructed with S-WORD and put the single "FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT" on the market and expanded the width of the activity to worldwide.
In 2004, the album "Death.Co" which re-recorded the past music was announced.
The first one-man live was ventured on July 6, 2007, and the tickets were completely sold-out.
Their art book of the same year "Time Has Come" was independently published.
In 2008, the first US tour and the 2nd South Korean tour was ventured.
Moreover, their U.S.TOUR which would be the 2nd times in June, 2010 was ventured. The 3rd US TOUR was in 2012 and the 4th US TOUR was in 2013.
On March 19, 2014 , 2nd album "CITY OF DREAMS" is released.
LOYAL TO THE GRAVE is a Hardcore/Metal formed in 1998. They released debut mini album, "North Truth", on Devil's Head Records (U.S.) and a split EP with THE ACACIA STRAIN. This was followed by the band's first full-length album, "Abstract Sensations", and an EP titled "Indistinct" on Imperium Recordings (Japan). We have toured consistently in Japan sharing the stage on occasion with HATEBREED, TERROR, CONVERGE.
The 2nd album "Still Climbin' Still Believin'" is a worldwide release with the help of Surprise Attack Records (U.S.), Skull and Bone Records (Australia) and Towhall Records (Korea). It was also released a two-way split on Seventh Dagger Records (U.S.) with WINDS OF PLAGUE and XAFBX. Album "Against The Odds" was released from EULOGY RECORDINGS 2012.
BLINDSIDE is a HARDCORE band from Kashiwa city Chiba Japan. The band consists of Vo-TKC, Gt-YASS, Gt-NAOKI, Ba-COLE and DR-KAZUKI. They signed to MILITIA INC.
Universe Last A Ward is a hardcore band from Fukuoka Yukuhashi City mainly working in Kitakyushu. It was formed in November 2013 consisting of 3 members. On December 27, 2014, they held a voluntary project "Start Today". A demo was released last year attracting listeners.
HORSEHEAD NEBULA is a band formed in 2015 in Tokyo, Japan. In the same year, they released the 1st EP "Survive", and since the beginning they have been lively active mainly in Tokyo, including supporting overseas bands in Japan.
In 2016, the band released 1st mini album "The Upset" and 2nd mini album "Realized". They held KNOCKED LOOSE 's JAPAN TOUR sucessfully, and be well- known with the local listeners. They will have the first appearance at BLOODAXE FES in Sephtember.
Mirrors is a 5-piece deathcore band from Tokyo, Japan. It consists of Toshiki Nomura - Vocal, Jumpei Sakakibara - Guitar, Koki Takagi - Guitar, Mario Price - Bass and Ryohei Chibiki - drum. Their latest album "Solipsistic Death" includes 8 tracks was highly appreciated.
Lionheart is a British hard rock band formed in late 1980. The band split up in 1986 but reformed in 2016 with a line-up.
The song "Lionheart", recorded by Reuben Archer, Dennis Stratton, Steve Mann, Rocky Newton, and Frank Noon belatedly surfaced on the Heavy Metal Heroes Vol. 2 (Heavy Metal Records) compilation in 1982. That track remains the only representative recording of the band's early sound, as they changed their style significantly.
Lionheart appeared on Saturday 22 October 2016, third in a seven-act line-up headlined by Steelheart at the three-day Rockingham 2016 melodic/hard rock festival, held in Nottingham, United Kingdom. Lionheart appeared at the Sweden Rock festival in June 2017.
