Kawagoe Fuji Taiko was founded in 1993 as a taiko class for young children and elementary school students. Current membership number is 70 people. Last year they added junior courses and traditional performing arts courses to five classes: early childhood, elementary school student, junior high and high school student, adult department, shinobake club, and a wide team from 3 years old to 65 years old.
Challenging various genres such as Acer, Ryukyu dance, Creative dance, as well as creative drums. Main activities are event performance in Kawagoe city, but also challenging overseas performances and Japanese drum junior contest (small, medium and high). In "The 10th Japan Taiko Junior Competition National Championship" as Saitama prefecture representative, they participated in the finalist held in Ishikawa Prefecture in March 2008. Voluntary performances are held at a rate of once every two to three years.
