Maiku Shibata is a Japanese conductor, born in Tokyo in 1978. After graduating from the National College, he studies at the Fujiwara Uchimori Group, Tokyo Chamber Music Theater.
In 2003, he acquired a diploma at the Vienna State Music College Master Course in 2004, while studying at theaters and orchestras across Europe and Germany. In the concert, he commanded Widin Symphony Orchestra (Bulgaria). At the end of the same year, he guests at the Hannover - Jilbester Concert (Germany) and conducts the Prague Chamber Orchestra. He also guests at the Berlin Chamber Orchestra at the end of the following year, leading the Jilvestor Concert for the second consecutive year and gaining great success.
After returning to Japan, he worked mainly as an opera conductor, and debuted at the Japan Opera Association in 2010.
In recent years, he has also put an emphasis on orchestral music, and has been active in Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, Nihon Century Symphony Orchestra, Osaka Symphony Orchestra, Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, Hyogo Performing Arts Center and Orchestra.
