Sone Maiko Sone is a Japanese harpsichord player. Ueno Gakuen University specialized professor.She comes from Tokyo.
When she was 5 years old she started playing the piano and the violin. Being involved in the charm of the harpsichord harpsichord who began with the incentive to deeply understand JS Bach while studying at the Toho Gakuen High School piano department, she began her career as a continuing bass player after graduating from high school. In 1986, she won the Bruges International Harpsichord Competition. After that, she was taught by Kenneth Gilbert and Gustav Leonhardt in addition to Scott Ross who was a judge of the contest repeatedly.

For a while since 1990 she has been based in Paris and active in France and Japan. Even after returning the base to Japan, she is performing vigorously on the songs of JS Bach he adores lovingly. In 1996 she won the Idemitsu Music Award and the 1997 Hida Kagawa Music Award Encouragement Prize.

Also, following the 12th and 6th consecutive JS Bach continuation concert (Hamarikyu Asahi Hall) from 2003, the whole 12 concerts of F. Cooper and Ramou's harpsichord concerts from 2010 to 2014 (Ueno Gakuen Eolian Hall), both of which received favorable reviews. She is an artistic director at the "Harpsichore Festival in Tokyo" which began in 2011.
