Volkhardt Stoide is a violinist. Born in 1971. Since 1994 he has been a concertmaster for the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna State Opera Orchestra. Studied in Werner Scholz in Berlin and Alfred Staart in Vienna respectively. He is actively performing chamber music and solo activities both inside and outside Austria and served as leader of Vienna Virtuolen, formed in 2001 by Vienna Philharmonic members. The instruments used are lent by National Austrian Bank Antonio Stradivari (made in 1718).
