Tatsumi Jiro is a Japanese Noh Play artist, born in Ikuta Ward, Kobe and he is the late Takashi Tatsumi's son. In 1978, he started training in Tokyo with the entrance into the Tokyo College of Music. In 1986, he worked as an assistant at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts. In 2005, he received Encouragement Award in Osaka Cultural Festival Award.
