NANJAMAN (Nanjaman) is a Japanese reggae musician from Ikeda city, Osaka. The real name is Masahiro Toyooka (Masahiro Tooyoka). He lives in Tsujido.
Nanjaman is from Osaka. He moved to Yokohama City at the age of 18, and in 1988 he went to Jamaica and he was influenced by the authentic Dee-Jay Style and started singing. He lived in a ghetto called Rose Heights in Montego Bay. Although he lived in a friend's house called Demouse, his older brother Culture - C was taken to him by local Dee - Jay and often went to a neighboring sound system and had him hold a microphone. He was driving a route taxi at Montego Bay for a while. At that time, he was enrolled as Dee-Jay of Bananasize hi-fi (second oldest reggae sound in Japan), which was called Yokohama's Don.
