In 1988, almost 30 years ago, the band's founder, Hiroshi Omoto, decided to form VIGILANTE.
The band was named VIGILANTE after the British legendary hard rock band MAGNUM's song "Vigilante".

The early influences from which they derived inspiration were bands such as SCORPIONS, SAVAGE GRACE, RUNNING WILD, to name a few. And from that point onward they kept developing and refining their sound through their succession of demos and live shows.

When they came across the sounds of RUSH and FATES WARNING, whose progressive ways to approach music totally fascinated the band, VIGILANTE's attention turned towards making their music more artistic and dramatic.

It might have been a hard time for such a band to carry on, given the music scene in the late eighties Japan. After all, at that time, People who knew even the word "Progressive Metal" were few and far
between. But despite these circumstances, they got the chance to be introduced to the manager of Gibson Japan at that time, Loyd Love. And so it came to be, that once they'd borrowed some Gibson
guitars from his office, within one week, they were able to complete a new demo called "FATAL SUPERSTITION". When he finished listening to their demo, Love described the band as "A perfect hybrid sound of eastern music and western music".
Soon thereafter, Hiroshi became an endorser of Gibson USA.

However, it wasn't long before VIGILANTE had to endure the serial replacements of many of its original members. The loss of its members was a crunch for the band and they had to take a hiatus for a while.

After several months, VIGILANTE resumed with a new line-up. In addition to the stable guitar team of Hiroshi and Kazuaki Horie, they had new vocalist, Hideaki Niwa, new drummer, Kazuhisa Yoshimura, and a new bass player, Makoto Unno.

In 1997, they had their first big show in Tokyo. The show was almost 2-hours long and they played more than 20 original songs. The show was a success and the band received a good audience response.

After that historic show, they started the recording of their first album "CHAOS-PILGRIMAGE".
The album was released in April 1998 with complete self sound production. Upon releasing the album, they received a good reaction throughout the world, being highly praised by renowned metal magazines like Heavy Oder Was!?, Hard Roxx, and Burrn!, in addition to various metal radio and TV programs.

In September 1998, they were given the offer to join the famous "Bang Your Head!!!" metal festival, sponsored by Heavy Oder Was!? in Germany.
Unfortunately, their appearance as a live act didn't come to be but they had an interview session on stage.

When they returned from Germany, they made a license record contract for 5 albums with German veteran label Massacre Records. And in March 1999, the "CHAOS-PILGRIMAGE" EU version was released.

The band released their second album "EDGE OF TIME" in September 1999. Its well-defined power-metal and aggressive styling was greeted favorably by fans all over the world.
And a short two months later, EU version of "EDGE OF TIME" was released in November 1999.
Subsequently, they released the single "THUMBNAIL AT YOU, MASTER" kind of expressing funny side of them as shown in the CD front cover. However, the single unexpectedly landed at #5 on the singles chart of Burrn!

After the release of this album, they continued touring and composing new sounds for their nextalbum to coincide with the replacement of their drummer with Shu Yamaichi in March 2002.

In April 2002, they made a license contract with Korean label,Ponycanyon Korea and the Korean version of their double CD was soon released. The next month they visited Korea and interviewed with Korean music magazine "GMV".

In August 2004, finally their third album "COSMIC INTUITION" was released after five years.

The band kept touring and In April 2005, they made a successful performance in Seoul, Korea. And in June 2005, they joined "Bang Your Head!!!" festival again after seven years with "COSMIC INTUITION" album as a promotional tour. They received a good reaction from German metal fans there.

In July 2005, they played together with Australian power metal act DUNGEON and in September, played with Korean prog-metal band JEREMY again since the last gig in Seoul, Korea in April.

2006 saw drummer Shunji Fujino replace Shu Yamaichi due to musical differences, this young and bold rookie drummer brought a new spirit into the band nearly becoming just a mere inwardlooking
prog-metal veterans and re-energized the band's repertoire.
He also offered a great contribution to the songwriting process of new album in terms of rhythm section along with the bassist, Makoto.

The band released their fourth album "IV" in October 2008. The album took a more modern and power-metal approach to its sound in addition to their trademark of progressive metal virtuosity.

In May 2009, They had a chance to play with Brazillian power-metaler HIBRIA at Tomahawk Metal Fest in Hong Kong, since the metal festival, the friendship between VIGILANTE and HIBRIA has been contituing until now.

2009 saw the beginning of a series of metal events called "Orgasm Metal" which was launched by mainly Hideaki, the band's vocalist and more than 70 bands have participated the events so far.

In 2010, Hiroshi, VIGILANTE's leader and the guitarist came up with an idea of re-recording the old materials by current line-up to show the metal fans the band's performance at its best and the single "RETROSPECTIVE INTO CHAOS VOL.1" was released.

The band released the single "OF INSANITY AND JUSTICE" in 2012 and its limited edition had a bonus DVD "Live At Orgasm Metal 2010-2012". Their live performance on the DVD was good enough to prove VIGILANTE is a real live metal band.

Since the release of "IV", each member started their own music related activities: Hiroshi and Kazuaki, Makoto got endorsement deal from Gibson USA, Kiesel Guitars,Yamaha respectively.
Shunji had an experience of one month European tour with other band as a supporting drummer.
Hideaki joined Australia's LORD album "ASCENDENCE" as a guest vocalist, performing the vocal for "Silent Jealousy", a cover song from X JAPAN.
Hiroshi launched his own handmade boutique guitar pedal brand "VeroCity".
Kazuaki was pursuing a career as a solo guitarist besides VIGILANTE and released his first solo album "A QUEEN OF THE SECRETS".

In 2017, all the recording process was done, VIGILANTE is ready to put out their fifth album "TERMINUS OF THOUGHTS" with a perfect balance between tradition and progression in all metal music.

In 1999, led by Hideshi Ueki (G), Rachel Mother Goose (RMG) was formed with Die (Vo), Seigen (B), Rinnba (Key), Yasuhiro Iida(Dr) in Nagoya, Japan. They played neoclassical heavy metal, taking Hideshis guitar-playing, heavily influenced by Yngwie Malmsteen. RMG recorded and released first album, Magic Wand, independently in 2000, and signed with Japanese heavy meal label, Jackhammer Music.

Following the release of 2nd album, Nadir (2002), from the label, the band announced a new lineup, changing all members but Hideshi Ueki, and performed at World Rock Fes in August, 2003, held by Universiade in South Korea; other bands who played there include BOWWOW, XYZ➔A, and Lolita No.18. After releasing 3rd album, Fortune Missionary (2004), and 4th, Signs (2006), from Mandrake Root, they released 5th Single, Pray for Revenge, independently in 2012. In 2014, RMG changed into a solo project of Hideshi Ueki with first-rate support members: singer Sunghoon Kim from South Korea, bassist Kaz Nakamura of Kelly Simonzs Blind Faith, keyboardist Takumi Matsubara and drummer Yosuke.

After writing new songs for the new album, they got down to pre-production in early 2016. Seeking for vivid acoustic sounds, they started recordings at Tapestry Recording Studio in July, where Japanese bands like Solitude and Outrage have used. While Shinya Tange produced drum sounds, Yusuke Abe and Saeko Kitamae also guested in some songs. Last but not least, they got Alessandro Del Vecchio to mix and master their songs. On January 25th, 2017, the band released the 5th album, TOKIWA NO SAI, from Spiritual Beast under Universal Music. Currently, RMG is touring Japan and planning to tour abroad in the near future.
