Mitsutaka Shiraishi

Mitsutaka Shiraishi is a pianist from Japan. After completing the graduate school of Tokyo University of the Arts in 1989, he proceed to the Juilliard School of Music. In 1990 he received Gina Bakkaer International Scholarship Contest winning prize. In 1991 he won the concert competition in the university and played Juilliard Orchestra and Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No. 3 at Alistair Hall in the Lincoln Center.

With sharp sensitivity and powerful behavioral power, he is widely active while studying in the USA. After returning to Japan, the music has gained more depth and solo, chamber music, concerto etc, that stage has a reputation as a high quality that never fails to expectations. In 1994, he won the 63rd Japan Music Competition Vocal Music Section · Kinoshita Award (co-star). The repertoire is also extensive, highly valued in the field of Japanese and contemporary works, and is actively approaching jazz. In addition to ambitious programming, in recent years, the depth and thickness are added to the sound of transparency, with the overwhelming sense of rhythm, lively, persuasive performance style, he have increased the number of fans every time he repeat it.

He studied piano with Keiko Kanazawa, Yoshie Takara, Hideo Date, Jin Kobayashi and Martin Cainin, with chamber music Felix Garimia and accompaniment law with Jonathan Feldman and a part-time lecturer at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music for the Piano Department.
