Ren is a Qena player. He get piano education from 5 years old. He was touched by the sound of Qena while he was studying at the University of Tsukuba, and he was into the performance of Qena. After graduating from Tsukuba University, he traveled to South America and then took a teaching position as a junior high school teacher, but from the strength of his feelings towards Qena, he turned to professional as a queen player in April 2008 and started full-scale performance activities.
Besides 4 albums, as well as 2015 "Tochigi Prefecture JA Tochio Tomei Supporting Song", original song "Ichigo no Uta" was released as a single CD by Kato Tokiko. He held Australia tour in 2016. The 4th CD was released in 2017. In Japan, as a few Qena players, he performs a wide range of activities including concerts throughout the country, composing original songs, recording, Qena classroom, and Qena production.
