Shunki Arai is a Japanese tenor.
High baritone combining a deep appealing low voice with a clear voice. He graduated from the Netherlands Swedish Music Conservatory, Vocal Music Major. During his stay in Europe, he participated in performances in various parts of Europe as a dedicated choral member of the Netherlands-Bach Association Choir. Hybrid singing voice not caught by that voice type became a topic in every direction, appeared on television and radio programs, and in numerous solo recitals and concerts.
He not only solo experts in baroque music, gospel historians, German REIT, but also appears at other repertoire of songs covering many genres including jazz, chanson, and popular songs. He is also directing and teaching many choirs.
Shunki Arai is a member of the German Riet Association of Japan.
In December 2017, his solo album "Red flower white flower" was released.
He studied baroque vocal music with Max van Egmond, Howard Kruk, song vocalist Pier Mack, Udo Rainemann, choreography conductor Jos van Felthoven, Jos Fermomt, jazz vocal under Furuya Mitsuya. Currently he is also working as a voice trainer and graphic designer.
