Kotomi Aoki (青木 琴美 , Aoki Kotomi, born January 7, 1980) is a Japanese manga artist residing in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan. She received the 2008 Shogakukan Manga Award for shōjo manga for Boku no Hatsukoi o Kimi ni Sasagu.. Kotomi took her 2013 Manga, "The Liar and His Lover" and remade a new version that was released in 2017.
The reason she became a manga artist was that when I saw animation of " Ranma 1/2 " by Rumiko Takahashi when she was young, she thought "I want to draw such an interesting manga myself" .
She also posted to "Girl Comics" because I longed for Takahashi who is writing to the same Shogakkan magazine.
1998 , Shogakukan "of the comic " special edition November debut at was published in the 15 issue "99 Na Mi Da". In the same year, from the debut work the second work "Seiya no kiss" fulfills the first publication of "Girl Comics". In 1999, in the first half of the year since its debut, it is the first serial with "Taiyo no Gotai". In 2009, she departed from "Sho-Comi" at the end of the series "Dedicating my first love to you" and expressed on her official website to similarly transfer to Shogakkan's " Cheese!
