FC Tokyo Under−23 is a Japanese football team based in Tokyo. It is the reserve team of FC Tokyo and currently plays in J3 League which they have done since their entry to the league at the beginning of the 2016 season. They play the majority of their home games at Ajinomoto Field Nishigaoka.
FC Tokyo joined J3 League in 2016 along with the reserve teams of neighbours Gamba Osaka and Cerezo Osaka. None of these clubs are eligible for promotion to J2 League additionally they can only field 3 players over the age of 23.
Kagoshima United FC (鹿児島ユナイテッドFC , Kagoshima Yunaiteddo FC) is a football club in Japan that was formed from the merger of the old Volca Kagoshima and FC Kagoshima clubs, both have been playing in Kyushu Soccer League before the merger. The top team currently play in Japan Football League, and their secondary team play in Kyushu Soccer League.
Volca Kagoshima had been playing in Kyushu Soccer League since 1973 and advanced to the Regional League promotion series five times, but never succeeded to promote to the upper tier, Japan Football League, known as the Japan Soccer League until the 1980s. Osumi NIFS United FC (the former club name of FC Kagoshima), originally affiliated with the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya in nearby Kanoya, have promoted to Kyushu Soccer League as early as 2004, but both Volca and NIFS have been seeking the way to promote to JFL separately.
The idea of a merged team of Volca and FC Kagoshima had been discussed by the Kagoshima Prefectural Football Association as early as 2012, but they failed to reach the agreement then. Although Volca and FC Kagoshima had applied for J. League Associate Membership separately, both side restarted their talk about the merger, then finally agreed with merging their teams to aim promotion to the J. League, in response of the advisory by the J. League organization. As both clubs had advanced to the final round of Regional League promotion series in 2013, the merged team earned the promotion to 2014 Japan Football League.
In November 2015, after concluding in promotion zone in 2015, they receive a J. League license to participate to J3.
Gamba Osaka Under−23 is a Japanese football team based in Suita, Osaka. It is the reserve team of Gamba Osaka and currently plays in J3 League which they have done since their entry to the league at the beginning of the 2016 season. They play the majority of their home games at Expo '70 Commemorative Stadium with some being held at Suita City Football Stadium.
Gamba joined J3 League in 2016 along with the reserve teams of neighbours Cerezo Osaka and also F.C. Tokyo. None of these clubs are eligible for promotion to J2 League additionally they can only field 3 players over the age of 23. Gamba played their first J3 game on 13th March 2016, a 0-0 draw at home to Yokohama SSC in front of 3,359 spectators.
Gainare Tottori (ガイナーレ鳥取 Gaināre Tottori) are a Japanese football club, based in Yonago, Tottori. They play in the J3 League. Their team colour is green.
Their team name Gainare derives from the Tottori dialect word gaina meaning "great" and Italian sperare meaning "to hope".
Their team mascot is a Japanese horror anime character Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro created by Shigeru Mizuki, a native of Sakaiminato, Tottori.The club was founded in 1983 as Tottori Teachers' Soccer Club (鳥取教員団サッカー部 Tottori Kyōin Dan Sakkā Bu). They opened their gate to players with other professions in 1989, renaming themselves S.C. Tottori. They adopted their current name in 2007.
They were promoted to the Japan Football League after finishing runners-up in the 2001 Regional League play-off. Nonprofit organisation Yamatsumi Sports Club operate the club.
After defeating Arte Takasaki 1–0 on October 3, 2010 in their home stadium, at last they could secure JFL top four after failed attempts on two previous seasons. The confirmation from J. League about their promotion to J2 came on November 29. They won the JFL title on October 24, 2010 with five games remaining.
Stadiums
They play their home games mainly at Torigin Bird Stadium in Tottori City. Tottori Soccer Stadium is the only stadium in San'in region that meets the J. League requirements. As their home town is Yonago, the club tries to persuade the city council to upgrade Higashiyama Athletics Stadium to clear the requirements but the budget constraint of the city council means it is not likely to happen in the near future.
In recent years, they also play some games at Fuse Athletic Park Stadium in Tottori City, Matsue Athletics Stadium in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture and Hamayama Athletic Park Stadium in Izumo, Shimane Prefecture.
Kataller Toyama (カターレ富山 Katāre Toyama) is a football club in Japan that was formed from the merger of the old ALO's Hokuriku and YKK AP F.C. clubs. They currently play in J3 League.
Blaublitz Akita (ブラウブリッツ秋田 , Burauburittsu Akita) (formerly TDK S.C.) are a Japanese association football team based in Akita, Akita. In 2014 they entered the J3 League after previously playing in the Japan Football League, the third tier of the Japanese association football league system. Due to the club's former ownership by TDK, most of players are the employees of TDK's Akita factory.
The club was founded in 1965. They were promoted to the Tohoku Regional League in 1982. They played in the Japan Soccer League Division 2 in 1985 and 1986.
In 2006, they won the Tohoku Regional League championship for the fifth straight year. They are automatically promoted to the Japan Football League after they won the National Regional League Playoffs.
The team has announced that it would separate from its parent company and join the J. League if the club's final yearly standing should ever allow promotion.
In May, 2009, TDK announced that the football club will become independent for the 2010 season and be based around Akita. Later in 2010 the club's name was changed to "Blaublitz Akita". Blau and Blitz mean blue and lightning in German respectively.
The club entered the J3 League for the 2014 season. The club finished 8th in each of its first two years in the professional competition.
Gamba Osaka (ガンバ大阪 Gamba Ōsaka) is a Japanese professional association football club, currently playing in the J1 League. The team's name Gamba comes from the Italian word "gamba" meaning "leg" and the Japanese ganbaru (頑張る), meaning "to do your best" or "to stand firm". Located in Suita, Osaka, the team's home stadium is Suita City Football Stadium. Gamba Osaka is currently the second-most accomplished J. League club, having won 8 top-tier domestic titles as well as the 2008 AFC Champion's League.
Cerezo Osaka (セレッソ大阪 Seresso Ōsaka) is a J. League football team, currently playing in the J2 League. The team name Cerezo (cherry tree in Spanish) is also the flower of Ōsaka city. The official home towns for the team are Osaka City and Sakai City.
