Female voice ancient music ensemble CORNIX (cornix) was formed in October 2000. It is a group of 12 female ensemble presided over by vocalist Ayako Nagura.
Religious and secular songs from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance period in Europe are the main repertoire. It takes advantage of the personality of each individual's voice to aim for ensemble making music with flexibility to cope with autonomy of singers, each other and flexibly.
In recent years, it is regularly comforting the elderly welfare facilities in Setagaya Ward, and as a volunteer they sing Japanese lyric songs, etc., and the range of activities is expanding. The 4th concert of 2007 was chosen as "My Concert · Best Ten 2007" at the magazine 'Friends of Music'.
