A 13-minute walk from Hakoneyumoto train station, this relaxed hot spring hotel is 13 km from Lake Ashi and 16 km from Mt. Hakone volcano.

This hotel recently re-opened ryokan offers both of Hakone's most attractive features: gorgeous scenery and steamy hot springs. Tenseien adjoins a beautiful garden which is home to two waterfalls and Tamadare Shrine, and is equipped with a variety of baths, including a large open-air bath on the roof of the hotel. A relaxing time in Hakone is easily within reach here!

Breakfast is usually offered as a buffet style at the hotel.
Guests must take off shoes inside the hotel (either bare foot or with socks). Most of the hotel facility is non-smoking, and the guest rooms are non-smoking as well (excluding a select few). Children who cannot be without a diaper are not allowed in the large communal public bath.

Accommodations range from standard rooms with traditional wood-frame beds to minimalist quarters with tatami floors and futons. Some offer a combination of both, and upgraded rooms add open-air baths. All rooms offer free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus minifridges, tea making facilities and mountain views.

Dinner and a breakfast buffet are included. There's also a restaurant, a subdued bar, a game room and a garden, as well as a sauna and communal indoor and open-air hot spring baths.
