Kawamura Ryu (August 30, 1982 -) is a Japanese jazz bass player, composer and producer from Osaka Prefecture. He began playing electric bass in high school.
At the same time as entering university, he changed to wood base and studied under Mr. Mizutani Hiroaki and collabrated with various musicians. At the International Contrabass Festival held in Hawaii in 2004, he received the award in the jazz category. Also at the same festival, he collaborated with John Clayton, John Collierbus, Glen Moore (oregon) etc at the base quartet, and it gets a good reputation at the concert.
In April 2006, he participated in the International Quartet Tour of Dusco Goykovich.
