FLOPPY (Floppy) is a Japanese techno pop unit formed in 2004.

In 2004, Kobayashi Sharaku formed a group and invited Toda Himoru. The band name is derived from a floppy disk and is thought to simply convey lyrics and melody, it was named after imagining a small capacity floppy disk compared to DVD or Blu-ray Disc. Under the retro-futuristic world view, the musicality which mixed the melody that reminiscent of the 80s popular songs to the virtual and inorganic tracks of Techno Pop, New Wave, Chiptune is characterized.

Vocalist Kobayashi tells that he wants to tell the melody of Japanese popular songs as the core, while using Techno's method. On the theme of the future not realized, emphasis is also placed on near-future visuals such as costumes and goggles with a unique shape called "energy goggles". After the 3rd album, he moved the label to Beat Surfers Inc., and the label representative greeted Kela & The Synthesizer's Shunichi Miura as a producer. After the 4th album, the SF style story is used as the concept of lyrics. There is also a song that P-MODEL, LONG VACATION's Nakano Teruo and DEVO's Mark Mothers Bo participated as a remix.
