Senzaburo Shigeyama is a Kyogen actor. He was born in September 4 1964 as a third son of Sensaku Shigeyama IV.
By using his experience of working on Hanagata Kyogen Club with Sengoro, Shime and Akira, he organizes a society of mind, technique, and body, "educational classic Kyogen promotion preparation training (known as TOPPA!)", with Masakuni, Motohiko, Shigeru, Ippei and Douji.
In one hand, he is working on appealing fascination of classical Kyogen. On the other hand, he was also active as a director, trying to interact with the new and old arts of other genres. His debut musical drama work "ONATSU" united contemporary plays, opera, musicals, and kyogen and got a good reputation. He collaborated with the "Kyoto City Symphony Orchestra" and made the plays, "Kane no oto (Bell's Sound)" (2003), and "Konpei tou (Sugar plum)" (2004), successful.
In 2005, he was interested in environmental issues, and made a new work "Nagare boshi - X (Shooting star-X)", presented at Expo Aichi etc. and received requests for performance from various ecological organizations.
From 2005, he has been joining the mind textbook creation committee as an activity of "Dispatch of mind teacher" in the school education dispatch business in Kyoto Prefecture, while he goes to elementary and junior high schools in Tango district and Fukuchiyama, and performs workshops and Kyogen performance.
Performing Kyogen at school became his life work from his wish that he wants sensible children to feel familiar to Kyogen".

As a Kyogen actor, he also has participated abroad performances a lot.
Also, in recent years, he is expanding his area by taking part as a personality at the FM Kyoto α Station, and a caster and reporter at KBS Kyoto Television. What is more, as an actor of the oldest performing arts maker of Kyogen, he is sending the latest new music and information, and introduce the charm of classical performing art "Kyogen" to the young people of the world.
