Christian Jarvi (Kristjan Järvi, 13 June 1972 Tallinn) is an American conductor from Estonia. he is also the youngest child of the conductor Neeme Jarvi. Elder brother Pavo, conductor, and sister Maria, a flute player, are also skilled musicians.
He grew up in New York and studied piano at Nina Svetlava Nova at Manhattan Music School. After that he studied command law with Kenneth Keithler at the University of Michigan. From 1998 to 2000 he served as Assistant to Esa-Pecka Salonen of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.
