Yojiro Oyama graduated from Aichi Prefectural College of Art. In 1994, he studied abroad in Milan, Italy, following the grant of overseas training expenses for Akita prefecture's up-and-coming artists.
He won the second prize in R. BROSJ Song Contest, winner of international competitions such as Maria Crow. He studied under Mr. Terranova.
In 1995, he made his debut at "Ai no Otomiya" at Nemorino, after he appeared in various part of Italy at "Barber of Sevilla", "Don Pasquaware", "Friends Fritz", "Italian woman of Algiers", "Koji fan Tutte", Rigolette "Duke of Mantua', "Bastian and Bastienn "
From 1997 to 1999 he participated in the Hungarian State Opera as Fenton of "Huelstaff", Don Ramillo of "La Cennelentra", and Arturo of "Lucia" and performed at the Romania Constanta · Opera Festival "Rigoletto".
In Japan, he appeared in Tamino of "Magical Flute" at the Nikko Theater in 1997 and appeared in "Barber of Sevilla". He appeared at Beltland in the small theater series "Happy mistake" at the National Theater in 2000.
