Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi (Tomoyomi Komiyomi, July 28, 1942 -) is a Japanese cellist, professor at Toho Gakuen University , served as representative director of the Suntory Arts Foundation, director of Suntory Hall, and music director at the Kirishima International Music Festival .
He composed his first song when he was 8. After studying with Hideo Saito at Toho Gakuen Music Schoo,l he studied at the Indiana University under Janeos Starkel. Since 1963 he had served as an assistant to Starkel.

In 1957, he won first prize and a prize in the cello division of the 26th Japan Music Competition. He also accompanied the NHK Symphony Orchestra's European and American tour in 1960 and won a reputation. After that, he won the second prize at the Munich International Music Competition in 1963 and the first prize at the Budapest International Music Competition, along with performed in numerous orchestras around the world. He is associate professor at the University of Western Ontario, Professor at the University of Illinois, Professor at the Indiana University, and Professor at Toho Gakuen University. From April 2004 to March 2013 he served as President of Toho Gakuen University.

He actively participates in educational activities through music as a music educator, and has also appeared in numerous business trip concerts at elementary and junior high schools. On May 22, 2005, he participated in the 1000 cello concert held at the Kobe World Memorial Hall. He served as the chairman of the Suntory Music Foundation and was appointed the director of Suntory Hall in lieu of Sadayoshi Tadashi from September 1, 2007 in accordance with the completion of renovation work. In 2009, he was a member of the Japan Art Institute , the director of the Suntory Arts Foundation.
