Eliso Wilsalase (14 September 1942 -) is a Georgian women pianist. She is wel-knowned not only as a musician but also as an educator.
After receiving piano instruction from grandmother Anastasiya Wilsalase who was a famous music teacher in Georgia, she studied at Tbilisi Conservatory. After graduation she also learned from Genliff Neigaus and Jakov Zak at the Moscow Conservatory. She won the third prize at the Tchaikovsky International Competition in 1962 and won the Zwickau Robert Schumann Competition in 1966. It was also known that she had a close relationship with Sviatoslav Richter and was deeply influenced.
Co-star with the world's leading orchestras, with renowned conductor such as Rudolph Barshai, Cyrillic Condoracin, Riccardo Muti, Kurt Sanderling, Wolfgang Svaldsch, Evgeny Svetlanov, Yuri · Temirkanov, Antoni Vito Then, she continues her performing career. She is also active in the field of chamber music and has performed with Oleg · Kagan, Natariya · Gutman, Borodin String Quartet, Tannev Quartet, and also has recorded recordings.
