Kuriyama Ren was born in Hokkaido. He began ballet at the age of 10. In 2008 he studied at the Royal Antwerp Ballet School in Belgium. Then he entered Ruudra Bejart Lausanne in 2010. He participated in European tour of Bejar, Ballet, Lausanne while studying abroad. In 2012, he graduate from the same school.
In January 2014, he joined as a K ballet company artist and promoted as the first artist in 2016. Principal appearances are Prince Siegfried of "Swan Lake", Prince of "Nutcracker Doll" / King of the Nutcracker / Spanish Doll, Prince of "Cinderella", Pirates of "Pirates", " Young people of the Benboo - Rio / Capulette of Romeo and Juliet, four friends of Sororu / soldier of "La Bayerard", four prince of "Sleeping Beauty", "Gisele", "Carmen", Chumi Kumagawa " Simple Symphony ", the White Couple of Ashton Choreography" Le Patinur ", gentlemen of the fox of" Ballet Peter Rabbit ™ ️ and Friends ".
He appeared on the role of Older Billy at the 2017 musical "Billy Elliott - Little Dancer".
