John Neumeier (John Neumeier, February 24, 1939 -) is a ballet dancer / choreographer from the United States. Since 1973, he is an art director of the Hamburg Ballet Company.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After studying ballet and modern dance, he majored in aesthetics at the University of Marquette and after graduating from the Royal Ballet School of England and V. Volkova of Copenhagen. In the eyes of Marysia · Heide, he was about to return home without a permission to work, and in 1963 he joined the Stuttgart ballet team where Heide was active as a soloist.

He trained choreography under the artistic director (then) under John Cranco, and in 1969 he took office as art director of the Frankfurt / Ballet company at the age of 27.
