India Nakamura is a Japanese dancer / choreographer from Tokyo.
She started learning classical ballet from 3, but fell in love with the world of Oriental Dance when she encountered Romani dance at a traditional Romani spring celebration in Edirne, Turkey.
After training in and outside Japan with many legendary dancers, she started creating her own pieces. Since, she has produced shows and performed at various events and stages including Ritz Carlton Tokyo, Hilton Tokyo Bay Hotel, TOKYO MARRIOT HOTEL, Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel, Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel, and Fuji Rock Festival.
Her dance which combines the sensual and mystic movements of Oriental Dance with grace of Japanese aesthetics is very original, and is highly rated overseas as well as in Japan.India was invited as the official performer for World Peace Party at Cannes Film Festival 2017, and has performed in Turkey, France, Monaco, Korea and China.
In 2013, she applied for "Miss iD 2014" hosted by Kodansha and received an awarded "Talk about idol of tomorrow" (Special Prize).
In July 2016, she formed "Charismatic side" with Shizu Mizuno and Watashi. who were also from Miss iD.
