Yukihide Takekawa (October 22, 1952) is a Japanese singer-songwriter and writer. He is best known for being the main vocal of Godiego, and he is the composer of most of their single songs. He belongs to Amenity. Visiting Professor of Teikyo University.
His maternal great-grandfather is Masakichi Suzuki, founder of domestic violin manufacturer Suzuki violin manufacturing. His maternal great-uncle is Shinichi Suzuki famous for Suzuki method of violin education. His paternal grandfather was a judge. His father is a family of musicians such as Beethoven's researcher, music critic and famous writer Hiromi Takekawa who has a work such as "All about "Ninth" "(published by Geijutsu Gendai Sha).

Yukihide Takekawa was born in Urawa City, Saitama Prefecture (now: Saitama City Urawa-ku). He graduated Saitama Prefectural Urawa High School, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies Foreign Language Department British and American languages Major (graduated from 11 years of repeated leave of absence and restoration, married while enrolled). He started playing the violin from the age of 5, composition from the age of 10.

In 1975, he made his debut as a solo artist with album "Running Romance" of all song English. In 1976, he formed Godiego with Mickey Yoshino who had been working together before, and Takekawa was in charge of composition and vocal. His unique melody left numerous hits such as "Gandhara", "Monkey Magic", "Galaxy Railway 999", "Beautiful Name". He released the album "I LOVE YOU" in 1989 and resumed his solo career in earnest. In the 1990's, in addition to composers, music producers, live activities, he became active as a multi-artist by working as lectures, moderators/ commentators for television and radio programs, literary activities, etc. In May 1994, Daiwa House's commercial song "Love of Us" was announced, and in November the same year, the single "Gandhara Legend" which made himself a hit song medley, became a topic in generations that did not know Godiego, the song was ranked in the top.
He is a father of a son and 5 daughters and received the Best father award in 1999. He published a book "A book for fathers who have daughters" in 2001.
In 1999, Godiego got together again with its original members for limited time. In 2006, Godiego got together again permanently and they have been very active since then.
