Tsuyoshi Miyagawa

Tsuyoshi Miyagawa (June 5, 1970 -) is a drummer and percussionist in Japan. He was born in Nagasaki prefecture. When he was a junior high school student, he started drumming with YMO (Yellow Magic Orchestra, a Japanese electronic music band) copy band, then studied at under Eichiro Toyama, Jinmei Harada in Kyushu Institute of Design, and began activities as a jazz drummer.

From 2003 to 2006, he was active as a drummer of Kiyoshiro Imawano & NICE MIDDLE with NEW BLUE DAY HORNS. In 2007 he became an official member of GANGA ZUMBA. He was further enthusiastic with Hiroshi Takano who is a band mate at GANGA ZUMBA, and also began supporting solo activities of Takano. He also worked as a regular member of Kondo Fusanosuke's tour and served as support drummer for B. B. Queens, a band led by Kondo. He also has a completely new style of playing in the Pandeiro which he was directly taught by Marcos Suzuno.
