Masao Tanabe (Masao Tanabe, April 8, 1974) is a classical guitarist from Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture.
He was born in Nagoya. He received music education earlier than 4 years old. He started playing guitar with his father at the age of seven, and then studied with Yasuo Sakai, Kei Akira and others. He graduated from the University of Tokyo. He studied under R. Aussel at the University of Music in Cologne, Germany in 1999 and graduated from the chief. He studied early music with K. Junghener, contemporary music with P. Alvarez, and music phenomenology under H. Liu. Studied under A. von Wangenheim at the Karlsruhe School of Music and became a national musician.
