Sato Katsushige is a Japanese pianist. He went to France after graduating from the top of the male high school music department (co-college). After that, he won the first prize of the Paris National Higher Music Academy and admired the higher musician program of the Paris Ecole-Normal Conservatory and graduated unanimously.
He studied under the works of Yukiko Fukuoka, Hiroko Edo, G. Fremy and G. Meunier. During this time, he has won numerous national and international competitions, including the All Japan Student Music Competition National Competition and the SOFIA International Piano Competition's 1st place. In 2000, he participated in the recommendation for the 14th Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw as a representative of Japan, and since then he has performed recitals centered on Chopin throughout the country. Performed at music festivals such as Festival (Paris), Rumahran Castle (South Provence), Forum Musical (Normandie), etc., performed regular concerts at the Champ-sur-Marne Castle, and made a successful recital in Bulgaria And are actively engaged in domestic and foreign. In 2004, returned to Japan after 12 years in France.
In addition to solo performances, Alexei Tokarev (formerly the Leningrad Symphony Orchestra's first trumpet player), Kawamoto Shigemichi, etc., co-starred with leading Japanese artists at concerts across the country, and internationally The oboe contest (Karuizawa) official pianist and La Folle Journe au Japon "Enthusiasm Day" Music Festival, Karuizawa August Festival, Tokyo Spring Music Festival, a prestigious French brass band that celebrated its 160th anniversary (Paris Garden Republiquenne) has been engaged in a wide range of music activities in various fields, such as participating in national tours and Korean performances as the only Japanese pianist.
The first solo CD "Nokuturunu" released in 2012 has been selected as a record art magazine (Music No Yousha Feb. 2013 issue) special edition and has a great response. In addition, five chamber music CD recordings (tp Alexei Tokarev, VC Aki Aki, fl Arakawa Hiroshi, VL Ohira Mayumi, Eph Yuki Akira), writing in music magazines and lectures at seminars, judges of contests, etc. He is also focusing on teaching younger students at Toho Gakuen College of Music and Showa Music University.
