Yuichi Sugimoto is a guitarist born on March 20, 1964 from Kumamoto Prefecture. He debuted in 1987 as a guitarist of the rock band "Repish". As the originator of the Japanese-made ska punk, he has led the rock scene for many years. He made a solo debut in the 1st album "Picture Music" in 1996. The solid guitar sound was highly appreciated, but again he concentrated on his activities at Lepicus. In 1996, he formed the band "Announcers". In parallel with solo activities in 2007, he hold a 20 year anniversary tour of Lepice. In 2010, he formed an acoustic unit "ANABA" with Kenji Ueda. In May 2014, 7th solo album "7 ↓ 8』 "was released.
His music sense brings the listener to the top, and the live performance impresses the viewer. Currently, he is working as a producer and guitar player, as well as focusing on activities as a solo artist. The overwhelming live performance that has never changed at all has been respected by artists of all generations.
