Ryota Katayose (片寄 涼太 Katayose Ryōta, born 29 August 1994) is a Japanese singer, dancer and actor. He is the vocalist of Generations from Exile Tribe. Katayose is represented with LDH.
Katayose participated in the Vocal Audition 2: Yume o Motta Wakamono-tachi e in February 2010, and became a finalist but lost. He then joined EXPG (Exile Professional Gym) of Osaka. On 19 July 2011, Katayose became a candidate for Generations.
He became a member of Generations on 17 April 2012. They made a major debut with the single "Brave It Out" later on 21 November. In July, 2014 he made his acting debut with drama GTO.
In June, 2017, he made his first lead role in the movie "Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu" which gave him a lot of popularity especially in China. In June 2019, he began his career as a voice actor with the anime movie "Kimi to, Nami ni Noretara".
His grandfather and father are both Music teachers that's why he was learning Piano since his childhood. He used to play soccer from when he was 5 years old to the 3rd year of junior high school and was elected as a National training center.
