HIROMITSU MAEDA was born in Japan where he was educated at the Kunitachi College of Music and at the Tokyo Conservatoire Shobi, specializing in singing.
Hiromitsu has had much solo singing experience in his native Japan and England including the operatic roles of Acis Acis and Galatea, Oronte Alcina, Ferrando Cosi fan Tutte, Don Jose Carmen, and Prince Phillipe A Dinner Engagement.
He has sung solo parts in many oratorios and masses, including Mozart's Coronation Mass, Handel’sMessiah, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and Elgar’s Coronation Ode.
As a concert performer, he has given several recitals of English lute songs, Baroque and early Classical music through to German Lieder, and contemporary works in England, Germany, Hungry and Japan.
He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and took part in master classes with Emma Kirkby in Dartington, with Evelyn Tubb, Anthony Rooley and Robert Tear.
