Yamagishi Shigeto graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, Music Science in 1994. He graduated from the Graduate School of Music in 1997. He received Anke Prize while attending school. He studied pianos with Tsuneko Kawaguchi, Kenji Watanabe, Keiko Takade, and musicology with Takashi Tsujiyama and Kei Honda. He is active as a vocal recital and choir pianist. In addition to regular solo performances, he has also performed many busy activities with instrumentalists. He is a part-time lecturer at Ueda Women's Junior College.
As a vocal accompanist, he has always been deeply trusted by the performers, and has performed many times with famous singers. Second term is Italian song study pianist.
