Ikue Shiga joined the ballet at Konuma Ballet Art from the age of 8 in 1998, joined the Chikako Tanaka Ballet in 1989. She achieved 1st in the 3rd Chubu Japan National Dance Competition Junior Division and ranked 2nd in the National Dance Competition Junior Division sponsored by the 53rd Tokyo Newspaper.
She joined Tokyo City Ballet Company in 1998. Since her first starring at Cinderella in 2001, she has starred in "Copperia", "Swan Lake", "Giselle", "The Nutcracker", "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Romeo and Juliet", and "Beethoven Symphony No. 7". She appeared in the 2005 Japan Ballet Festival. She starred in "Carmen" in 2006 and received the 38th Annual Dance Critics Association Newcomer Award. As a trainee in 2007, Japan Agency for Cultural Affairs, a rising artist study abroad program, she was trained in Ballet in Australia. Performed in 11 years "Ballet Helps Japan" (Berlin) and 12 years "World Ballet Stars Gala in Kazakhstan".
She performed at the 2005 Japanese Festival "Copperia Grand Pa de Do".
In 2007 Dance as a foreign student of the Japan Agency for Cultural Affairs, and one year training at the National Ballet of Australia
